Oh boy, what can I say ? It is more than a mere cafe, what an excellent food they served and not to forget the brilliant coffee and also choices of green tea they make. Food we tried the Goat Curry and the Lamb burger for lunch and it was top notch. Curry seriously other restaurants can take a leaf out of their recipe. What a wonderful taste that was. Infact, we went there thrice in our two day stay at Fox Glacier. In terms of the location, one of the best as you can do a lake Matheson rainforest walk also. Price for food is very reasonable and so is the quantity of good given. Also try the Reflections gift shop. They are good and reasonably priced as well.
Highly highly recommend trying their beef jalapeños bagle. It's loaded with beef brisket. It was one of the best things I had in my life. Recommend share one between two. It's LOADED. I took this picture after already consuming half of it, but it was that good!! Coffee was good as well. Good place to relax after a walk to the lake. BTW, lake walk is not to be missed! Especially on a good weather!
Had a great time here. Flavours were spot on and fantastic. We ordered the venison burger and the mushroom bagel benedict. The sauce for the mushroom bagel benedict was super yummy. Highly recommended for anyone who is passing by the area.
Excellent Bacon Eggs Benedict. Just the right amount of pesto and hollandaise, eggs cooked perfectly. Far exceed exceptions for a stand alone cafe near a trail head. Flat white was also great, higher on the coffee to milk ratio than most. Best meal I’ve had in the Fox Glacier/Franz Josef area.
Open atmosphere inside, with good views and music also.

The best view ever and the best eggs benedict with mushrooms!! Coffee was excellent. Quick service. I must pay my respect to a person who chose the set of music.
The view alone is worthy of 5 stars. I really enjoyed the very tasty, and cold, iced latte and a delicious muffin while soaking in the beauty that surrounds the Cafe. A walk around lake Matheson then a visit to the Cafe is a must
A great place for a stop with a magnificent view on the mountain and a good coffee.
Also, the shop is really nice and the staff is super friendly and gave us many good advices for visiting the region.

Fantastic. Came here after the lake circuit walk. Nice food options and lots of seating inside and outside with picturesque views of the mountains.
I'm not a salad man but I was feeling adventurous and decided to order the grilled vegetarian salad (+chicken), to which the waitress said "good choice that's my favorite". Lots of people say that, but wow was it good. Blew my bloody socks off. Probably one of the best salads I've had. Probably the best ever. But I'm not a salad man so I had my wife try it too and she concurred that it was the best salad she had ever had also. The table next to us also ordered the salad, and it must have taken their breath away too since they then ordered another salad to take away with them.

Great service, the noodles were served in a plate bowl which made drinking the soup more difficult then necessary, the flavour was nice though. The burger quick nice and the chips were crunchy. Owner has a very friendly dog that roams around! Big plus if you are a dog person! Great view of Mt Cook if you sit outside as well.
Wonderful cafe by Lake Matheson Walking Track! It's got plenty of indoor and outdoor tables and seats, very spacious. They have transparent glass windows all around, so customers can see the views outside. Food is of good portion and tastes delicious! There is a souvenir shop as well. Limited carpark outside, so hard to find a spot during summer peak time.
