We came in today (13/1/19) after 2 years of trying it last time we were around Hahei. Enjoyed it as ever last time and equally as much as this time. burgers are definitely worth the wait with the prices allocated :)
Would reccomened to locals and tourists!
Would suggest chicken but Angus is equally as good.

Chicken Burger's in the top 2 Best Burgers I've ever had, hence the rating. From the massive, toasted Ciabatta Buns to the incredible flavour of all the ingredients together, especially the ample quantity of meat to have every bite be amazing... just perfectly made! 100% deliciousness, was unexpected from this busy little place.
The Bacon & Egg burger is as you'd expect, no surprises there. But even the vegetarian burger, which is rarely appealing to meat-eaters, was really tasteful.
Seating's cool (outdoors, good view on a beautiful day) but could be increased?
All I can say is.. Best chicken burger and chips we have had in a long time! (and we eat a lot of burgers haha) the chips were so fresh and crunchy but perfectly soft inside, and the chicken burger was amazing bang for buck. Loaded with fresh grilled chicken and great flavours! Would 100% recommend and come again! Great food!
Excellent vegan burger and chips! After looking at several other places in the area and almost losing hope for anything decent it was great to find this place

Simply the best fish and chips we've ever had, period. The snapper was so fresh it tasted like it was caught an hour ago. While the price might be a bit scary, the portion size is large (200gm) and it's definitely worth it. Recommend the Salt & Pepper squid too!
Fresh, hand made under your eyes food, we got the Angus burger which was very good. Perfect stop on your way to/back cathedral cove.
Staff and food was amazing! Fish is large so you get fish and chips (not chips and fish). Chips were tasty and crispy. Chicken nuggets and salt and pepper squid were good too! It was so great, we went back the following evening for dinner again! 5 stars!
One of the best fish and chips that I've tried in New Zealand. The fish is always fresh and tender, the portion of fries is huge. Nice place, lovely people. Really good service.
Total value for money. Huge burgers and not all bread either, filled with fresh ingredients. Lovely buns, huge fish and chicken pieces, thick salad.....and added on a platter of crisp outer, fluffy inner chips. Friendly folk serving, would definitely go back.
We had 2pce Snapper & 1xChips twice plus a hot dog. Absolutely fabulous, fresh & tasty. The staff (owners) were really nice & friendly. We will be back.
