Amazing food, best Shanghaiese food you can find in New Zealand. The price is very reasonable with around $50-$60 for 3-4 people. They also one in Rototuna also amazing good

nice place. authentic. big portions. no alcohol license which is disappointing. would definitely go back. they don't take credit cards either which is a pain for business travellers.

Great place to taste authentic Chinese cuisine! Always come with good service and consistently gourmet dish, recommend to all. They recently opened up another restaurant in Rototuna that deserves the same rating!

I was recommended to go here by an Chinese friend, I have since been back 4 times. i am vegetarian and was well catered for, yet my partner is a meat eater and loves the food as well.
Its a little gem of a place that I would recommend to anyone.
I like to take my own wine as it makes for an affordable night out

This place is a good hidden chinese place in Hamilton, that served good food.

We did the banquet which is pretty good value for money - and the food is pretty endless!

Restaurant was BYO which is the only reason how we discovered this place after the Thai restaurant we were going to up the road had no license at the time.

Food was yummy, and I didn't feel like it was dodgey at all!

Plus they give you take away dishes for all the left overs from the banquet.

We were there early on a week night so were the only customers.

The wait staff were helpful and we even got to have a conversation with the chef prior to ordering.

The food helpings were generous.

Just keep in mind that it only has a BYO license, so bring along your wine because they cannot serve you a glass from their own fridge.

Came here with a group and we decided to have the Peking duck dish only to find out that it needs to be pre ordered. Other than that, the food and place was awesome. The crispy squid and corn soup is really worth a try.

Great wholesome Chinese food!. Pros, Open till very late, LARGE serving sizes, friendly staff, Plenty of cold water! Great food for value. Cons, Some of the staff have a low understanding of english (don't let that put you off at all!) and they are occasionally closed on some odd hours (call in advance is uncertain) Can be a little noisy inside.

Great flavours, great northern Chinese food. Good to have in Hamilton East. If you want chicken fried rice... go to your local chinese takeaways, this place is for the real foodies!

Absolutely loved this place, i have been searching for an inexpensive, delicious chinese place and am so stocked to finally find one. They have two menus that come out, one writing and the other pictures which i thought was a fantastic idea. The meals are very large and are presented well and the people were nice. Cant wait to go back!

Reasonable Chinese restaurant in town. Serving sizes are average with above average food quality. Good for medium size groups. Shop is reasonable small so it may feel a bit cramped for larger groups.

Came here for dinner and it was a great decision. Food was well seasoned and decent portion size. Not mouthwatering good but good enough to fill your bellies on a budget. Service was great and I would come back again.

I visit this restaurant on a regular, and have really loved everything they have to offer. I especially love the black pepper beef, seriously delicious. The service is good, and prices reasonable. Excellent family restaurant, perfect for all occasions!

Came for dinner last night...food was yummy and perfect seasoning...hot chicken stir fry and spicy stir fry pork with cabbage was top notch..staff was really friendly...would definitely go back and highly recommend 👍👌👍👌
