This place is awesome ! Atmosphere is really good & the staff is also really friendly ,and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is delicious specially Tanduri chicken & many options for hard drinks n soft drinks and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. my husband said this is the first restaurant he like in nz. go for it guys.
A spacious, warm and welcoming restaurant. We tried the classics, Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken. All really great, but I was particularly impressed with the flavour of the Butter Chicken. I also ordered Peshwari Naan one of my favourites and was also impressed with their take on it using mostly coconut. Located on the busy 5 Crossroads roundabout, angle parking is available at the front if heading South and also easy access to off-street parking behind the building via driveways on either Peachgrove Road or Fifth Ave.
Mango lassi was great! Had a thick texture and strong mango flavor.
The food came out smaller in portion than expected but it was quite heavy so we were full by the end of it! We used “The first table” deal so it gave us half price off for the food (must buy a beverage per person with this deal).
The tandoori mixed platter came with good variety for two ppl but I felt the presentation was average. The lamb madras tasted awesome though!
This place is amazing! It is open until late, the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. The staff who served us was very attentive. The food was very good - especially their mango lassi which was full of flavour - reminded me of home. Other dishes saag paneer, Tikka house special mains were delicious.
Excellent service: as always with indian restaurants you should really choose the level of spiciness correctly. Do it wrong and you end up with bland food or with food that burns your mouth and kills all taste. We went with mild medium and it was just right.
Very buttery cheese naan. Butter chicken was sweet and tomato-y.
Great customer service with friendly and welcoming staff. 6 of us went and ordered a bunch of dishes - biryani, kadhai chicken, chilly chicken, aloo chicken and kadhai paneer and enjoyed the meal! Especially liked the mango Lassi and cheese garlic Naan. To add to the list, this is the first indian restaurant in New Zealand where I found salted Lassi which was great too! They have a huge range of vegan options too 👍
On a Tuesday night during our conference in Hamilton, I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with three of my colleagues (all from out of town). The culinary experience was truly delightful. The food surpassed all expectations in terms of taste, leaving us thoroughly impressed. Not only was every dish bursting with flavour but the portion sizes were also generous, ensuring we left the table completely satisfied. We'll ✔️ 👍 👌
We dined here recently for the first time and we were very impressed all round. We have eaten a lot of Indian food at various restaurants over the years but this was the best Indian cuisine experience I've had. The food was superb and the Mango Kulfi dessert was just divine. The owner served us himself. He was so interesting, courteous and friendly. We will definitely go there again.
It’s our first time dining out here. The food was delicious, we all enjoyed butter chicken, chicken korma, biryani. We also had onion bhaji and mango lassi. Thanks for accommodating us.
