Before flying back home to Manila after 3 weeks of enjoyable vacation, my son brought me to Bushman’s Grill. I asked him what’s in the place and he said it is reportedly the best steakhouse in Northshore, Auckland. Being used to such fanfare I ordered a rib-eye scotch fillet, cooked medium well. It was perfect with the small marbles evenly distributed in the meat which was tasty and succulent! Its not just fanfare. Bushman’s Grill being the best steakhouse in Northshore, Aukland is a fact.
Had my birthday celebration at Bushman's last 17/June/2017 with 35 guests... Indeed, twas a worry-free event!!!! This was made possible by Deidre. The party details I requested were spot on including the songs playlist based on the party theme. Glen, the duty manager is equally efficient. The food quality is of high standards yet very reasonable. The place is cozy. My family, myself and my guests were all satisfied. Again many thanks to Deidre & staff. Keep up the good work. We ordered bushmans grill and being the level 3 lock down, we got delivery. It arrived right on time, was nice and hot and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend. I hope they continue to do takeaway even after the lockdown!
Decently priced steak done to your perfection. - Best in town at the price by far.

Bushman’s Grill was the restaurant my boyfriend and I went to on Valentine’s Day. The service was lovely, each diner was gifted a small box of chocolate and that was a generous gesture from Bushman’s. I got the sirloin steak (medium rare) with creamed spinach and he got the scotch fillet (medium rare) with fries. Food came out at a reasonable pace for a busy night so very happy about that.
I’m going to start off by saying the creamed spinach was really delicious. Super creamy and melted in your mouth, no chewing required for any lazy eaters! The onions were delicious too! A bit sweet that went very well with the meat. The way the steak was served was beautiful as well. However, my sirloin was a little tough and more towards medium rather than medium rare. There was still some juice but I expected a bit more from a steakhouse.
I do recommend to give Bushman’s a shot as the service was good and it may have been a one-off for a busy night but next time I might order my steak rare.

Came in for lunch and ordered. Then noticed that the table next door got told about the specials Waitress was a bit grumpy and more concerned about her coffee than serving us or to tell us about the specials. Food was exceptional though, no complaints there. Will be back.
I like the place, we come quite a lot. We have never had an issue with the food but the service can be a little grim depending on how the wait staff a feeling.

The place has really big portion sizes, with some delicious options including the baked potato and chicken wings. Their steak was cooked perfectly. The mushroom sauce although was delicious was very thick and not pourable.
The service here was good – food came out a tad slow, but the staff kept us informed and consistently kept our water glasses full!
If you are craving for delicious chicken legs and ribs then you must visit this restaurant. Their family platter which contains 4 chicken legs and 4 rack of ribs is the perfect feed for 4 people. You can choose 4 different type of sauce for the chicken legs. As you can see from the picture, the sauces completely covered the chicken legs and ribs. The meats are so flavourful and succulent. Also, they do the best fried onions. The ultimate onion (it's a starter) is a must try!!
This is awesome place to have a steak! The steak is cook to perfection and to your preference. Very rich and flavourful! You have to reserve seat because this place is always full! Highly recommend the steak here!
The place is so lively and food is great! Large portions and very tasty.. The staff if also very accommodating and service is smooth though we had to wait a little longer due to 2 big groups ahead of us. Nonetheless, it was a great experience.
My boyfriend and I went there last night for his birthday and it was absolutely the best decision we made! The food was amazing, the pork rib was more than perfect! The ultimate onion was also a must try. The staff were really nice n friendly, the vibe was comfortable, we enjoyed every minute there. Already recommended this place to everyone we know after we left. Will go back for sure!
First time here in about 7 years and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Really recommend the squid and peri peri chicken. I had to be rolled out of there (figuritively) because I ate so much - it was all so good! Good atmosphere, albeit a little noisy. But I suppose that shows how popular the restaurant is! Great servers too.
We dined in, on Wed night, as it was our 38th wedding anniversary. The food was yummy…hubby had the ribs and chicken combo and I had the peri peri chicken livers. I would’ve loved the livers to be more chunky… not as fine as they were. But the taste was good. The ribs and chicken were cooked to perfection. The Malva pudding was just as yummy. Our server, Violet, was wonderful! She was friendly, professional and it looked like she enjoyed what she was doing. Which is important. The atmosphere picked up, once more people arrived. We had an early dinner at around 6pm. Overall, the vibe was good.
Easily the best steakhouse in Auckland for us! Always our top choice to bring our family or friend from overseas as the food is amazing and variety of menu options can cater to most dietary preferences. We usually celebrate special occasions here, lovely ambience but not too intimidating for people like us who do not really fancy fine dining restaurants. The staffs are always pleasant and accommodating. My all time favourites are their scotch fillet steak (medium well done right & flavorful!) and calamari. Appreciate it that they allowed me to keep a small cake in their fridge and when I requested it back after dinner, they asked if we’re celebrating a birthday, prepped the cake with some candles & sang us a happy birthday! Thank you always guys, keep up your fantastic food and service. You are amazing! See you again soon :)
Brilliant service and attitude towards each and every customer! Nice atmosphere that feels a lot like South African pub n grills. Very generous portions for the prices.
Huge portions, particularly of meat if you're a hearty meat eater. It's a cosy place and it was filled to the brim. There were two birthdays celebrated with it announced across the restaurant. Customer service was good enough, not out of this world for dinner service. But attentive enough and responsive.
Lovely tasting food and a homely vibe to the place. I'd visit again.
Had an amazing lunch at the Bushman's Grill today. It has been a long time since our last lunch here. it was amazing! Brilliant food and great service! The price is pretty good and the atmosphere is always great. Highly recommend everyone get down there for lunch!

My only criticism is that they don't serve pap or south african beers.

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening as it was highly rated (4,6 stars on average with 1171 reviews in total) and the menu and pictures looked promising.
I gave the steak and chicken combo (Eye Fillet and flame grilled chicken leg) a try. Steak came exactly at the requested cooking stage (medium-rare) and was super delicious. The staff was very friendly.
