I love their coffee and have become somewhat of a regular but cannot say I've tried much on their menu. I do like the Moroccan chicken pasta in the display cabinet though! This place is always busy so I can tell its a local favourite.
Good food and nice Staff, great customer service. The toasted muesli with fruit/yoghurt is well presented, big portion and tastes good. This place is always busy.

Can get really busy at lunch times, but even considering this, you don't wait too long for your meal and the staff are polite and friendly. I usually choose the eggs benedict, as I absolutely love the toasted bread they use and they cook their poached eggs so perfectly. Their smoothies are delicious and my kids love their mac n cheese.

Hancock's is a popular cafe in Howick, so it is usually hard to get a table in peak times like lunch and afternoon tea. I have tried the Mac and Cheese, the muffins and the cronuts, all of which can be ordered from the cabinet. My mac and cheese was yummy, just needed a bit of salt and pepper otherwise it would've been rather bland. I opted for the salad to go with it, and was disappointed to find that the 'salad' was a handful of lettuce, some carrot and a tomato with a drizzle of sauce. Not worth the $2.00 I payed for it. The muffins I had were divine, served warmed with a little tub of butter. They are large, so maybe kids could share one between each other because we couldn't finish all of ours. The cronut was yummy, crisp and golden, drizzled with chocolate and filled with a sweet cream. I think they could have made them better by warming them up a bit, but I understand that that might melt the cream. We also tried smoothies. Mine was the berry one. It was verging on average, there was nothing too special about it, so I recommend ordering a Phoenix Organic juice or a fizzy drink from the fridge. Overall, this is a good place to eat, just not the best I've been to.
This cafe is always busy. No doubt the neighbor hood love this place and made it as one of their favourite breakfast lunch brunch time. We've been here couple of times. My fave is there mushroom toasties. Coffee was also nice. Service was fast even in their busiest time of the day. Staff were really nice and helpful. Highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It was fairly full and hectic when we walked in but managed to get a table. There are menus on the table in plastic holders (as well as behind the counter on the blackboards) and once you've decided you go up to order and bring back a number.
Quite a few choices on the menu as well as the choices in the cabinets.
I thought that the decor was quite nice and the food fairly good.
Regularly eat at Hancocks and never disappointed! Such lovely staff that remember our names and always greet us with smiles. Great prices and great portion sizes too, definitely recommend and always go back!

I love this cafe! The warmed up apple strudel served with cream is to die for, it’s not too sweet at all, it’s perfect. The mochas are good and the fact that they come with marshmallows makes them even better. The eggs bene with bacon is delicious, one of my faves! I just wish it came with spinach, I felt it was missing that. The buttery bread that comes with the eggs bene is amazing, it’s easy to slice through which I love.
The place is always busy but there are lots of seats, staff are really nice too! Highly recommend stopping by :)

Today is our first time at Hancock's Cafe. We had the best service from everyone at the counter, I had the best Matcha Latte made by a beautiful lady, smooth and delicious!! Bought one to takeaway for my daughter who is a fan of Matcha and she loves it! We had a lovely afternoon, and will definitely come again for their food. Well done!!!
Very popular busy spot. Lovely fresh food, pies where tasty 😊. Prices mid range but we where happy to pay for the quality we got. Coffee not the best we've had though, that could be improved.
Came here with my parents and it was great.
I had the macaroni cheese, and it was amazing. It took barely 5min to be ready and it was nice and hot. Drinks and coffees are also very nice. I will be coming back.
