Food are affordable, great portion. You are almost guaranteed to get a free bowl of soup to start and a bowl of Chinese dessert to finish.
You cannot go to this place without trying their golden fried prawns, hands down the best in town. Mega addictive!
The owners are the nicest people, and I swear, they remember everyone who have been there, even once.

A very popular. Family run local Cantonese restaurant hidden in the burbs just a hop skip&a jump away... from the cluster of food outlets just down the way in Somerville,Howick,we usually order takeaways from this place,,,,,we cook our own rice and order three main dishes which comfortably feeds five of us as they're legendary for their generous portions..just be warned to book or phone ahead as each dish are cooked to order and therefore a wait time...recommend here...combination meat tou fu hot pot &chicken vegetable on ho fun(rice noodles)....and

If i feel like Chinese this is my go too. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The dishes I have tried have been very satisfying and always end up very full with leftovers.
This is one of our favourite locals and we have been many times. Always great food at good prices. Extensive menu. Have taken numerous friends along who have also been well pleased. Always found the staff very friendly and accommodating.
We went to this restaurant in January for a birthday - the food is yummy its not overly expensive and the waitress is friendly. We have been back several times since then and had 1 lot of takeaways as well. The staff are friendly the place is small, they do get very busy some nights so book ahead. The cost is minimal compared to a lot of restaurants and the food is quickly prepared and huge portions. If you love Chinese food this is a good place to go.
Went in with my dad for a weekday lunch - we were the only people there and the waitress seemed frankly surprised to see us. The food was delicious and plentiful, so I think we'd just arrived during a lull. There is nothing fancy or elegant about this place but I enjoyed the meal.
Update: Went back with a friend - the waitress remembered me from the previous time, a few weeks ago. Not sure if a) she has an uncanny memory, b) I'm uncannily memorable or c) they haven't had a lot of customers in between. As before, great food, but restaurant also empty on a weeknight evening. The food does deserve better custom, so if you read this do give WXB a try. Don't be put off if you can't pronounce the name!
