Steak is nicely cooked, just a wee bit disappointed with the edges slightly burnt and tastes bitter, red wine sauce is nice, loved the potato side which were fried with duck fats and it gives a unique aroma to it.
Coffee is a little disappointing, ordered flat white but the foam is too thick (thick as latte), and the beans are burnt that it tastes very bitter.
The service is excellent, loved the atmosphere here, foods are on the higher price range therefore I would have a better expections.

We have no bookings. Just walk in. On Tuesday evening. It was so peaceful feel we got lookafter all the way. π. So far at Invercargill that is best restaurant for dining. The food as you can see. Good value for two of us. 2 beer 1 starters and 2 main. Just $125.
If I'm not enjoying. I can't be bothered to say anything. But this is a good restaurant. So I shared this to anyone if you past Invercargill. Go there support. πππ

We were looking for a restaurant when we got Invercagal on the last flight last night. So we camo to Buster Crabb and we met a woman who born in here but has lived in Wellington now. (We also have lived in the same area of Wellington as she does.) She was so happy and told us that she has liked this restaurant very much and she visited here everyday recently. So we booked a table for tonight because they only serve alchol after 9pm.
We ordered some food and drinks from a story menu. Two special starts were tried first. One is a Japanese style another is a Chinese style. Both of these two dishes are improved so the taste are little bit different but I like. The main course and oysters were also delicious. And a lovely girl to service us.

Amazing atmosphere and food. I was starving and this food was amazing and so reasonably priced! I had some of the bao buns, mussels, side salad, and side of shrimp! Others in my group had the seafood salad. We were too full for dessert but other tables getting it looked amazing. Everything was delicious and there was soooo much seafood! Amazing lunch!
We were looked after firstly by Michael and briefly by waitress Ava. Michael was a delight to banter with, and we overheard Ava looking after other diners she's so friendly and knowledgeable. Both these staff are such an asset to this business. We both had Stuffed Chicken Breast on Fettuccine...delicious.

Found this place on an unplanned trip to Invercargill and Bluff by blind luck. We were looking for Bluff oysters and found them here at almost half the price as Queenstown. Very relaxed atmosphere, great food, wonderful presentation, and nice wine list. This was our last day before returning home, so it proved to be a very memorable experience.
Amazing and fantastic sized meals that you won't walk away hungry. The chef understands the complexity of seafood meals and taste this was truly an enchanting experience and recommended to all that come.
The meals came out fast an this was a new standard for my own dining out experience.

My husband had burger with a WHOLE BEEF STEAK inside. It was super good. We initially thought it would be too dry but it was perfect! Glad we managed to get some oysters too, after realising that Fowlers werent open that day.
Garlic prawns and fried egg were great choices of sides too.
Had a good time reading the menu and the story of Buster Crabb, came in an interesting form of a newspaper.
