We have had take away hotdog and chips for the last 2 years. We love the hotdogs! Soo good! The business has changed hands Closed Monday and Tuesday

Got the blue cod burger easily the freshest blue cod i’ve ever received from a takeaway tasted absolutely delicious and a great portion of fish too!

The young man on counter was very responsive and friendly. Big smiles for everyone. Food was great would suggest fish bites but fish was nice. Would return again.

Great service, lovely guys, even suggested we try chicken salt on it for free which was really tasty! Sadly they were out of blue cod but they're popular for a reason. Best to get fish here as there's only one shop in town and there's always a queue for that. Also this has great opening hours (see photo).

The Hills

Really great staff & fish n chips were lovely, very crispy & light batter & Elephant fish was superb. Well done team! We will be back next time we are in Kaikoura & recommend you to other traveller's. Close to NZMCA Park makes it even better! Helen & Barry Hills

We had the fried Blue Cod and Gurnard and they were super tasty. Prices were good and the owner couple were friendly. One of them is an ex-commercial fisherman so you know it’s gonna be good! Also note that it’s under new management as of several months ago so take the older reviews with a grain of (chicken) salt.

Excellent fish and chips. Not greazy or oily, perfect. I had the Gurnard, perfectly cooked. Granddaughter had a hot dog, loved it. Both staff very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

My husband bought elephant fish and chips and I must say it was the best fish and chips we have had for some time. Highly recommend.(To the fellow NZMCA members, please support these kind people, you will not be disappointed.)

Best fish and chips in Kaikoura at amazingly affordable price. Fish was really fresh and the batter so delicious! We devoured our food in minutes. Awesome service too, I think if you bring your catch they can have it fried for you as well.
