Zampelles has got to be my favourite cafe the staff are brilliant after being away from New Zealand for the last two years I could not wait to go there again the staff were the same and they even remembered that I am a smoker they said we will bring it outside to me in the same table I sat in every morning for about 5 years
Had a lovely experience the staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and the prices were a bit high, but definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend this as a breakfast spot.

Just a fantastic cafe to visit. I perused the cabinets which to my delight, I found the most delicious chocolate and caramel slice. Just to die for if you ask me. I would even consider giving my left arm for it. The customer service is lovely. There are 2 young boys that look like they're about 16 years old. Just the most lovely boys. They both make very delicious coffees. However, I think the girl on dining room forgot to sweep the carpet making me cringe at the lack of cleanliness. Overall, the experience was stunning and being in my late 120's it was the perfect atmosphere.
Lovely cafe .gorgeous food and fast service. Never knew they were here as little hidden in the corner but worth the visit. Freshly baked muffins were amazing.
Time to kill at Queesngate so ventured back for an Ultimate breakfast and a mocha. Twenny bucks all up and great value for the money.The meal was good - eggs nicely cooked, a decent wad of bacon and two small decent sausages to accompany the hash browns and toast. The meal isn't looking for a Michelen star, however it is great value when the pricing structure is considered. The cafe was reasonably busy and in my late-40's I was the youngest there. It was pension day and they seem to have their target market well tied down - fixed incomes looking for simple well-cooked food at the right price.The mocha was also one of the better ones I've had of late, and I've had a few. Maybe they've taken on board feedback.
Went here for brunch this morning with my mum. We both had coffee and shared a piece of carrot cake. The service was nice and quick and the staff are lovely! My coffee was nice, but not the nicest and the cake was amazing!
I have been here many many times and haven't had any bad experiences. I LOVE the lemon muffins. Especially the fresh, hot ones! They are to die for. I always want to eat 3 a day and they are just delicious I rate 5/5 yum!!!! Definitely go back. :)
I have been here on a number of occasions and haven't had any bad experiences. Just be aware that this place is very busy with a lot of noise and limited spacing. I doubt you'd find a better mince and cheese pie, definately worth hiking over town for. Coffee is good, but again no wow factor. Find milkshakes a bit tasteless, needs more flavour, but it could just depend on who you get serving you. Staff are always ready to serve you. They also make a great cream cheese, chives & bacon muffin as it has plenty of cream cheese.
Everything was delicious and well cooked. Service was also great. Will definitely come back here again. Soooo worth it and would definitely recommend.

Went to Zamprlles Lower Hutt yesterday. Apart from the usual good service there was the loveliest young man bringing out food/clearing tables and sweeping floors. He was so cheerful and polite and as we were leaving wished us a nice rest of day and hoped to see us again. He would be an asset to any business.
Such friendly service and great meal. I had bacon and eggs on toast and was impressed with the serving size.
My teen had French toast and staff were happy to make a small tweak to his order.
Food was delish, service was great. The french toast had more bacon but bestie ate some of it before i could get a pic of it LOL

I have visited this Cafe often, over many years, when visiting the region. A variety of wonderful food is on offering; both hot and cold beverages and sweet and savoury food. It's usually always busy, especially around lunchtime. Because of a rise in cost of living, the prices have also risen.
Love this place. I am fussy with coffee but this coffee 10/10. Food really good.
Today I had my 1st visit to Zampelles in Queensgate Lower Hutt my husband insisted we should eat there S he has been a few times before.
This is the cleanest well organised eating place I have been to in Wellington I highly recommend this place just to have coffee too Excellent staff & serivice to.
We have a Zampelles in Johnsonville absolutely no comparison.

This is our favorite place for Sunday brunch. Their chips are the best in town. We used to always come here for chips. Unfortunately today's one are really soft, not crispy at all and looked sad. When I told one of their lady staff, she was very kind and took the food back to ask if there's anything they could do. Then the chef came out and very kindly explained the situation that their supplier somehow couldn't supply the nice chips. Which I totally understand as I work in a food place where this kinda situation happens all the time.
They offered us refund. I'll say it's a really nice experience seeing how they handle this situation really well with very nice attitude.
Hopefully you guys can have the nice chips back and we'll definitely come back every Sunday for the best chips ever.❤️
