I get really quite offended by bad coffee so I am very pleased to live so close to Java Hut, Seriously consistently the best coffee in Nelson area.
Paul & Manu make the BEST coffee ever! And are always so friendly and welcoming! You can take your own cup and this saves waste and is so cheap!
By far the best coffee in the area, even worth traveling a way for. It was great to find someone who understands coffee and is enthusiastic about his product. We will be going back if in the area.
The Java Hut it just that, a tiny shack that pumps out the java to locals and anyone that needs a caffeine top-up. There’s little room to kick back with your takeaway cup of coffee other one of a handful of coloured stools at a communal table, or the sun chairs outside.

Small cafe selling mainly coffee and some cookies and nougat to go. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Great tasting coffee and friendly service though being a popular spot with tourists and locals means a bit of waiting time.
Excellent full flavour coffee. Cosy atmosphere with fire going on a wet cold morning. Mans best friend curled up on the bean bag beside the fire looking out for the boss. Highly recommended!
