This is a small portion of lamb shank - It fell right off the bone. No need for salt or pepper, it was seasoned perfectly. The 70’s rock music was at a nice volume, we could have a good conversation.
The Art Deco Festival posters, and surf boat hanging from the ceiling add to the beach vibe. Heavily decorated with wooded tables, benches, and an occasional local artist work, that you could purchase.
Ideal environment for our work function. Our large group was able to be seated together on one very long table. Delicious meal served by hospital and friendly staff. Had concerns about being able to attend due to a work appointment at 1pm but ordered promptly and was able to leave within the hour. Very happy!
Was such a nice surprise when our lunch came out, as the standard of presentation, and the choices, were a lot nicer than the previous owners had. We really enjoyed the food and the wonderful hospitality, especially from Sophie and her lovely co-worker. Very reasonably priced and opposite the Napier Conference centre of the Marine Parade. I would definitely recommend a visit here, especially in the summer where you can eat outside.
Grandkids love coming here. Friends is a family friendly restaurant with an affordable kids menu. Kids love the curly fries! with their choice of ice cream. Staff always attentive and friendly on both occasions we have visited.
Great food and very friendly staff!! We had a large brunch party of 12 and they were able to accommodate us very well. The food was a hit and it is perfect for large groups. We will definitely be back!!
The Service: EXCELLENT! Starting from the server, very friendly, big smile on her face. Feeling very welcomed already! The dishes here are literally beautiful. Can't wait to try this out again next vacation.

Stayed at the hotel next door for 3 nights for a conference. Bunch of friends hit the bar and had a very lovely first night there, we end up dining in the third night at the restaurant, lovely food, good service, must try the grilled salmon and the beef ribs.
Finished the spa, we went accross to this Restaurant for lunch the other day. It was sunny so we decided to sit at an outside table. Everything was just perfect, sun shine, ocean view, nice food, friendly staff with good service. Oh by the way there are plenty of parking space around the area.
