Carpaccio Venison starter, Roast Pork Belly with Roast veges main. Excellent Sunday night meal, especially the venison. As long as you don't mind paying for quality the Central Fire Station Bistro is a must visit if you are in Napier

Wondered why we didn't go there earlier. Oh that's because I tried to book it a couple of times before but it was always full! No wonder. Excellent food, service and ambience. Love the design of the historical building. Interior and exterior. Staff were genuinely happy and friendly. Food was excellent đź‘Ť

Staff were very accomodating. Food was creative and there was a sense of passion in what the chefs create. The only thing i could recommend is more attention to detail in terms of the gin list. It could be more extensive and i don’t remember it being on the menu. When I asked about the gins I don’t think the staff were provided with or coached on the local gins and the difference between dry, botanical, herbaceous and citrus. I also do recommend the use of dehydrated fruits. It could essentially elevate the experience to match the food and wine. Decor was nice and the bathrooms were clean. Food came out at a good pace. Good job to the floor staff and chefs. Just a bit more managerial over-site needed to fully bring the rest of the bar up to the food level which is an A+.

This is an exceptional restaurant. The food was truly exquisite and was equal to that we recently experienced in Michelin Star restaurants in France. The young female waitress was extremely well informed about the dishes and this was most impressive. The decor is very tasteful. There was an extremely good selection of drinks to choose from. Definitely deserves the very highest recommendation.

Best in Napier, actually possibly best in NZ. We loved the wine the platter and the mains. We eat in the best restaurants in Auckland and many major cities in the world globally. Still we were blown away by the taste the experience and the quality of the dinner we had here.

Delicious and CREATIVE food. This place doesn't serve steak and chips. Everything we ordered was really yumm and served by a friendly team who made us feel comfortable (merci Abraham). Good selection of wines by the bottle and glass.

Our small group of friends just goes out for a meal occasionally, so it was such a treat to be looked after so well and served such delicious food. Thank you to Olive who had thoughtful and intelligent suggestions regarding our meal, thanks to the kitchen for our simply delicious meals. We have only praise about our dining experience. We’ll be back and we will sing your praises.

If you are in Napier, you CANNOT leave without dining here. I promise you, this will be the best dining experience you have ever had. When I tell you that every aspect of it was perfection, I tell no lie. From the first impression with the decor, layout and kitchen. To the cocktails, our servers and last but CERTAINLY not least, the exquisite food, I could cry it was that incredible. The food was a carefully crafted combination of flavours that will leave you speechless. I had the manchego croquettes, raw fish starter, confit duck for main and a caramel white chocolate mousse for dessert. I also had the pleasure of trying their duck and pistachio terrine, lamb rump main and market fish main which were equally exquisite. Thank you for such a wonderful evening x

Wonderful food, very good wine list. The manchego croquettes with honey were fab as was the perfectly cooked beef fillet. The setting in an old fire station with large windows was great, with comfortable chairs and lots of room around the tables.

The food was great, but it was the service, the decor and the attention to the little details that really made this a wonderful dining experience. Favorite dish of the night was the beetroot tart, truly delicious, and what I assume was house made stracciatella was incredible.
