This place really exceeded my expectations. The waiting staff was pretty good. There was one instance when they forgot to serve us our desert, but they apologised and we go it in the end so there’s no hard feelings there. But apart from that the service was prompt and phenomenal. Our main meals were out to us within minutes of ordering and we really appreciated this.
Their tacos and burritos was made to absolute perfection. They are reasonably priced and yet they are quality. You can really taste the fresh ingredients and I love that. They don’t leave you feeling gross and heavy, instead you leave feeling satisfied.
Also the best churros I’ve had in a long time.
Definitely recommend this place.
Our favorite restaurant in Nelson, very authentic mexicano cuisine and reasonably priced. The seafood burrito and ceviche do our local fish justice, but it's all good, esp. the deserts.
I thought it was pretty authentic Mexican food (not that I've been to Mexico), generous servings, fantastic attentive and friendly service, food was quick to be served. Yum, yum, yum!
Great place to be really nice food burritos and quesadilla and everything lovely environment friendly staff :) only thing I didn't like was the music was too loud I had a bit of problem Gavin a conversation with my date which was kinda sad everything else was just perfect !
We went to Nicola's Cantina last night for the first time ~ Was quite blown away to say the least! Enjoyed the food (Jalapeno Prawns - Amazing), the service and staff were excellent, nice restaurant design and would definitely go back. Prices were most reasonable. Coffee was great - A new favourite in Nelson. Only gave a 4.5 as I've given a few 5's already :) - NICOLA'S CANTINA HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Great place to come for tasty mexican food and delicious Golden Bear Brewery beers! Recommend the fajitas! Fun casual atmosphere although it can get quite busy!
We came in late on a Wednesday evening and were the last to order. The staff were fun and friendly and we were happy to enjoy a good atmosphere and have a great dinner.

Such lovely decor and a really chill vibe. We enjoyed the margaritas at $18 a piece. The cerviche was excellent ($24), although I would have liked more of it for the price, as we're the small tacos at $10 each - esp the fish taco yum! The coconut flan was delicious but I only remembered to photograph it when almost gone! The churros were a little over cooked, but still tasty. Would definitely return as the service was also friendly and fast.
The best & the only authentic Mexican food in Nelson was extremely scrumptious, however you may have to re order your mains because of the portion size. Loved the vibe of the restaurant. Definitely looking forward for our next visit!

Great little Mexicano Restaurante. Delicious margaritas, excellent music. Had the tacos gf pescado and beef. Tasty and well priced for the size. Excellent service from friendly wait staff. The gf/df avocado chocolate mousse was complemented with a divine raspberry gelato. Definitely worth a visit.
We enjoyed our meals here. We were squeezed in on a really busy Friday night in a cozy corner. Service was prompt with mocktails and a nice big good value glass of Shiraz ordered. Our guacamole starter was unexciting but all of our mains were really good, especially my seafood burrito. Our mains took a while to come as we got in just after a large table but they were worth the wait. Great atmosphere here, it is usually busy and reservations are essential

Absolutely amazing food, tamales out of this world, super authentic. Staff were good although a bit slow on order takings, and their hot sauce they make is great
I've had quesadelas in some od places all over the world... And tonight I tasted one of the best in my home country. 10/10
Excellent food and fun atmosphere! Almost all the menu is Gluten-free as well. We tried the Burritos, guacamole, tacos, chorus, chocolate cake, classic margarita - all were super tasty, fresh and lovely!
