Awesome breakfast and friendly staff. Great to see a cafe serve a small breakfast as an alternative to the usual massive offerings. The small breakfast was delicious. Just the right amount of food for wee eaters. Poached egg was cooked to perfection. My partner had the corn fritter which he loved. We didnt have coffee here so can't comment but the range did like good!

Good wee café! Great service from the staff. Food was good also, tried the specialty chocolate and it just melted in my mouth which was superb. Coffee was a little in the watery side but overall, great place when visiting Nelson!

Cosy place with friendly staff serving lunch and sweet treats, including luxurious chocolates and macarons. I had a green tea macaron - not sure if they are made onsite but it was as good as my favourites in Melbourne. Light crunchy shell, not too sweet and with just the right amount of green tea flavour.

Seems like family owned business with everyone pitching in to provide delicious choice of food, great coffee and excellent service. Had brunch in morning and returned for afternoon tea to find they had just closed. But staff were still inside and served us coffee and pastries - excellent!

My scrambled eggs were pretty average but the ginger crunch slice was one of the best I've ever had and the coffee was strong and good. Nice atmosphere too.

We had a very pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly with a delightful happy attitude. The food was very nice (my 10yr old loved the Thai Chicken). The place was very clean and the chocolates looked to die for. A nice variety for a small cafe ambience

This is the perfect place to come for dessert out in Nelson after seeing a movie or going out for a savoury meal. As soon as we arrive, the owner is extremely friendly and talkative adding to the ambience of the cafe. I ordered a chocolate fondue with fruit and brownie, and was delighted with the result of lovely warm fondue with good selection of fresh fruit and brownie. Friends had hot chocolates and an ice-cream sundae and were also very happy with the outcome. The atmosphere at night is great with the cafe being nice and warm which is a bonus in winter as well as friendly and relaxing. Will recommend to anyone and will be returning on a regular basis.

I’ve been here twice now, I loved the corn fritters that much I had to bring my dad back to try them. I couldn’t decide whether to get mushrooms or bacon the second time so dad got mushrooms and get shared them. The first time I got the bacon and I think it goes better with the fritters than the mushrooms did. The staff were friendly and it was a nice atmosphere.

I’ve had a small breakfast platter n one lovely cappuccino in this wonderful café. I love mushrooms on the platter soooooo much. Creamy cappu also makes my day. must to try it! Staff is so friendly n willing to answer any questions if needed.

We have been visiting Sweet As regularly for the past two years whilst studying in Nelson. We have loved the breakfasts, lunches, sweet treats and drinks. Best of all is the lovely, friendly staff. We will miss this place.

Coffee and food were great! Lots of food options from a simple bacon sandwich to spanakopita filo (whatever that is?). The chicken and coconut salad was excellent.

My wife and I arrived first thing as they opened. We both had the small breakfasts, bacon, egg, mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. Food was super yummy and best coffee I've tasted for ages in a cafe. Highly recommended.

Lovely little cafe. Iced latte very strong but nice. Have a great deal to receive a toasted sandwich with your choice of 2 fillings for $6.50. Would attend again for a small lunch. Have accessible toilets but may be difficult to navigate to for a wheelchair considering a wheelchair would have difficulty getting past tables/chairs

The belgian dark hot chocolate is zen level good. As are all of the cakes, food and service. In a nice quiet spot overlooked by the cathedral, these guys have nailed it.
