Excellence Service & their Pica Pizza is heavenly! The bagels are a great breakfast option. I love this place & will definitely visit again.
I go here almost every day that they are open. The cafe is delightful and the short order food is great. Fabulous salads, and the CARROT CAKE. IS. IT. And many a night when we haven't had the wherewithall to cook they have saved our bacon with their delish pizza. Firenze and Melanzana are my personal favs.
Recently spent the weekend in Paekak and checked out this sweet little place. Good, friendly service, yummo pizza and good coffee. A neat place to hang out and watch the world go by the window while eating delish pizza and at the same time being privvy to the pizza making behind the counter :-).
Amazing Coffee, Superb Pizza and i LOVE their breakfast menu. the service is second to none here, always made to feel welcome. i highly recommend to all.
Drove out to Paekakariki with family on weekend and found this little gem. Kids had wood fired pizza for the first time which they loved. Coffee was excellent and we took home some of their bread which it turns out is amazeballs! I hope they can arrange some more seating at some stage though as it was really busy.
Let's be honest there are alot of places in the greater Wellington region that do great coffee. It maybe that the profitability of coffee is the reason why so many make such a lacklustre offering when it comes to food.
Notable exceptions to the rule are the likes of the Maranui, Nikau, Prefab and most definitely the Beach Rd Deli all of whom clearly put a tonne passion into the food as well as the coffee.
I think most of us can tell when we go somewhere whether there is some heart and soul going into the offering and that is definitely the case with The Deli.
Having read the reviews I feel compelled to state for the record I have been going there for 5 years and the pizza has never been burnt nor has my dog been made unwelcome.. Not once.
Very excited about this place. My husband and I had just signed up to buy our new home in Paekakariki and, along with 4 other members of my family, called into the Beach Rd Deli for a coffee. We decided to try the pizzas as well, and the carrot cake and so pleased we did. We tried 3 different pizzas between us - all of which were fantastic. The coffee drinkers all raved about the great coffee, and the carrot cake was just delicious.
We noticed a sign saying they provide partially cooked pizzas so they can be taken home and finished off there. We will no doubt try that out once we move in.
A fabulous find, and so excited to have this on our new doorstep.
Brilliant little find. Stopped for a coffee and pizza. Great coffee and scrummy pizza. Expectations exceeded. Friendly staff and good service. Have found myself to be visiting weekly. Have tried the carrot cake and custard square, delicious home made flavours.
Cozy spot on a rainy afternoon. Very atmospheric with a great playlist, friendly staff, warm interior, fresh flowers, delicious bakery items and coffee. Short walk to the beach. Highly recommend!
Beach Road Deli has the best vegan options in Paekakariki! With a large variety of vegan options that are gluten free, Beach Road Deli have a truly inclusive menu and caters to all. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their food and the atmosphere is vibrant but relaxed.
The Deli go above and beyond with their range of options for plant-based eaters, this includes bagels, salads, pizzas, smoothies, cakes and more! A firm favourite of mine is their vegan chocolate cake.
This week, I'm visiting Paekakariki to try out the Cafés in this location. Café culture is alive and well and flourishing by the look of it.

What a lovely experience. Awesome welcome, scrumptious kai, ka pai menu, and delicious cabinet kai. The kāwhe was excellent and the smoothie yum.
I had the everything bagel, cappuccino kāwhe and a mango and passion fruit smoothie. Kai was perfect, delicious, scrumptious, beautiful.
Seating inside and out. Lovely atmosphere, great bike racks close by.
Well worth the short trip, definitely worth a revisit. You should see for yourself if you're visiting Paekakariki or passing by.

A family favourite of ours! It ticks all the boxes: fantastic service, delicious food and coffee that caters for most diets (vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options), and a sunny atmosphere that welcomes both dogs and children!
You cannot beat these guys for service, banter and exceptional coffee. HONESTLY the best almond mocha of my life.
My last visit I arrived late and there wasn’t any vegan food left. Hope made the most amazing satay tofu sourdough sandwich, I felt very cared for. Can’t rate Beach Road high enough.
Great coffee and a good variety of cabinet food/ menu food. We enjoyed a breakfast wrap each which hit the spot! Friendly staff, good atmosphere, fresh flowers, and other cafe goers happy to chat. Would recommend :)
Great hidden gem in Paekak. Lovely selection of food to please all appetites. I especially love their interesting salads.

What a beautiful spot ! Visited for the first time this morning & thoroughly enjoyed the Halloumi bagel ... yum as. Lovely customer service, fast food/coffee delivery & a stunning cabinet filled with all sorts of (dietary conscious) goodies. The new owners are smashing it. Will definitely be back again :)
This little pizza place is great. The staff were very easy to talk to. The pizzas didn't take long to wait for and were very delicious. I highly recommend this place !
