Amazing food, amazing service and amazing atmosphere!!! Couldn't fault the place :) highly recommend!
I was impressed with The Fat Farmer before I even arrived. We needed 3 high chairs and they worked hard to try and achieve that for us. The communication was great from the start. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. I think next time I go I will only go with a couple of people as there were 8 adults and 4 children and it was a little cramped. Overall a great night before the All Blacks. Thank you so much

We went here for my mums 70th, it was perfect. We were a group of 4 kids under 12 years old and 8 adults.
We had a set menu, which was excellent. Mum was able to switch a few dishes around beforehand, so when we arrived, no decisions had to be made, and we could just relax and enjoy the evening.
The bao, prawns, and crispy chicken were excellent. The lamb, green vegetables, and chips were a lot of food. We ended up with quite a bit of takeaway.
The staff were excellent! Friendly and efficient.
The vibe was great. It's a busy place, really comfortable with casual decor, bar / restaurant vibe, loud yet you could easily hear everyone at your own table.

First time at Fat Farmer last night and it was for my birthday! The atmosphere was amazing, food was delicious (I’ll be dreaming about the goats cheese, lamb, and kale 🤤), and the service was a 10/10. Georgia was a GREAT waitress, and made sure we were happy and was happy to be there. She also did a group photo shoot for us so we had to give her 5 ⭐️. All in all amazing experience with Fat Farmer and I will definitely be back again!
Delicious Angus beef satay pancake things. That's all I had, I'll be back tomorrow to try more, though.
We had the set shared menu which was just fabulous. Grace does an outstanding job, wonderful friendly staff, accommodating and always smiling. The atmosphere is terrific and food consistently amazing, this is our go to place in Palmerston North.
Amazing service and great pricing. Really enjoyed steamed bao bun and mashed potato. Signature lamb shoulder was great, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Would come again for the duck roll as many people ordered it XD
This is a great place for a lovely beer and a fantastic meal. The lamb shoulder is a must have. The cauliflower asparagus and couscous were excellent dishes to accompany the lamb. This established would rival the best in any of out big city's without a doubt. I can highly recommend spending some of your time and money at The Fat Farmer.
We had such a good night at the Fat Farmer. We’ve lived in Palmy for a year now and it was our first time visiting - can’t believe we haven’t made it sooner - we are already planning our next visit. Georgia was our waitress, she was amazing, very helpful, attentive and lovely. We started with a round of the cocktail special - cranberry lime and passion fruit 😋 we brainstormed a name - something along the lines of Cr-ime of Passion - definitely would order it if it is on the menu. We loved the $65 set menu - the goats cheese was a stand out! We shared the cheesecake to finish - the lemon balm sorbet was unreal and unlike anything we had ever tried. Epic evening, great atmosphere, thank you ❤️
Wow!! Just fabulous. I've been drawn to this place for some time and chose to eat tonight for a special occasion with friends and family! The service was outstanding, friendly, helpful! The food was incredible. I cannot wait to go back!
Definitely recommend booking in advance as it gets quite busy ! The lam shoulder is definitely worth ordering and cauliflower!

I had my birthday dinner at the Fat Farmer and was served by Georgia, a lovely waitress. Georgia was most inviting with supreme service. She was funny and charming and very well spoken. Being my first time at the Fat Farmer, it was a very welcoming atmosphere because of our fantastic waitress!
