Booked a table for a work lunch. Had the option to preorder over the phone which was a really good idea so that we weren't waiting a long time for our food during the lunch rush. Everyone was happy with their meals but a little disappointed that our curly fries didn't come out very curly - we must have gotten the end of a batch because the fries were more scraps than anything. However, the fries had a good flavour. A couple of coffee orders were missed at the end of our meal which we were a little upset about. Overall very good food and good service but I might try to avoid the lunch rush next time because I wouldn't want any of my ordered items forgotten again.
Both the food and decor are modern and fresh; a nice change from some of the crusty old cafés in Palmerston North. The breakfast menu is a clever 'pick and mix' or 'build your own brekkie' affair, so excellent for a range of tastes and dietary preferences. Looking forward to a long lunch with a glass of wine (or two) in the courtyard section. They seem to get busy, so get there early.
Can I give it six stars? Please? Amazing food, lovely people... Definitely coming back next time we're in town.
Coffee and drink was delicious. Ordered calamari salad, perfectly cook with quality produce. Staff supper helpful and friendly. Definitely should come here if you visit Palmerston North.

Really nice spot with friendly staff, coffee is always good. The potato hash in the build a breakfast menu is a must try and keeps us coming back. Lovely outside area in the summer & dog friendly

Was a yummy breakfast with lots of options and you don't have to have toast. The mocha was brilliant, as was the cappuccino. Definitely recommend.
I bet your wondering what the pink drink , it’s a Beetroot Latte , yes you heard me . It was decent but I added sugar to it . I also ordered

Both very delicious and different, if you don’t like spice I wouldn’t recommend for you but if you do I 100% would recommend it .
I loved the mini coffee cups they so cute . The vibe and atmosphere was a happy and the staff are always keen for a joke/laugh .

LOCAL is an absolutely world-class Cafe! The best coffee we have had in New Zealand and the service is exemplary. Clean, modern atmosphere, and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
This place is bright, sunny and the staff attentive and understanding. Went in for a coffee and ended up staying two hours without any judgment from staff. Will go and eat next and bring more people with me.
