We have been coming for Saturday lunch for a few weeks and have found the food great and the service friendly and prompt. Would recommend.
If you ever come here only order something off the breakfast menu. Me and my partner have been here multiple times I have tried something off their lunch menu which was sadly disappointing. By far they have the most delicious, filling and affordable breakfasts as well as superb coffee. I usually have a chai latte and it tastes perfect - they will always mAke it to your tastes. Hungry men will get well fed as they are not shy to fill up your plate - very tasty and well presented !

I had heard Gana had "some of the best coffee around" so we decided to head there for breakfast. The first time I ordered the creamy mushrooms with haloumi, on brioche toast and was not disappointed. It was amazing! Husband enjoyed his works breakfast and our coffee was indeed delicious. The second time I ordered the corn fritters, because I figured I couldn't go wrong after the creamy mushrooms. I was wrong. The fritters, although large and tasty looking, were bland and very crumbly. I wasn't impressed at all. The coffee that day was a bit burnt as well, I think perhaps there was a new staff member on the coffee machine due to talk we heard with her and management. The last time we went to Gana, I went back to my creamy mushrooms and found they weren't as delicious as the first time. The chef was a little heavy on the seasonings and they were quite strong in flavour. All in all, it's a nice little cafe with very quick service and friendly enough staff. Consistency seems to be a bit of an issue here. It'd be great if the kinks could be ironed out to make this a real destination as Papamoa is lacking in the cafe stakes.

The evening meal was not gourmet, it didn't pretend to be, but was delicious and ample and the service was great. We will return.

The food was yummy. Service was excellent. If you have fur babies they are welcome in the outdoor seating area. We will be back again. :-)
I had the kumara rosti with eggs and bacon, spinach and pesto for breakfast on this warm rainy Saturday morning. We sat outside and watched the world go by,and a friendly little dog joined us from the next table. A lady came up to admire my meal . Coffee was good. Life is good. Thanks friendly waitress...
Great host .good service. Wide range of delicious food .caters for vegan .veg .gluten free great coffee. Inside / outside dining. Great place to have lunch with friends .groups catered for.service excellent. Rest room facilities.can take dog if outside.Water available. Gold card recognised. Easy reach of banks and shops .plenty of parking
Looked like a good selection of food on the menu, portion size of the meals we ordered was a bit on the small side.

Only there for a coffee and scone. Both were great with plenty of butter to help to scone go down. We sat outside under an umbrella that allowed the breeze to circulate. It was a very pleasant place to be. Outside sound system needs to be going or upgraded so one can hear the wallpaper music to be perfect.
You can NEVER go wrong with a coffee here it is always delicious. Grab a take away coffee and a scone and head to the beach or sit in and enjoy the atmosphere. A great cafe to hit after a hard days shipping.
Had an wesome black coffe prepared by Amy. My order was impecably taken by Tash who offered a replacement for when I asked for no toast. The vegan falafel dish was delightful! Will definitely be in again :)
We really enjoyed it here, the food was really tasty and not too expensive, was pretty empty so the service was really prompt but obviously couldn't say about service at busy periods.. The waitress was really nice and friendly and made us feel welcome etc would recommend
