Wow!!!! what a wonderful place, delicious food, heaps of options, very pleasant staff, great place to meet up with all age groups, clean, tidy and overall a nice ambience.

It’s fair to say some of the Favourite Husband’s thriftiness is rubbing off on me.
Earlier in the week I passed Friends cafe with a sign advertising a mid-week breakfast deal. Could we shoehorn this in as opposed to a dinner date? Would the money saved go in to my back pocket for my facelift fund? The answer to both of these ponderous questions was “Hell yes.”
So Thursday morning saw me take the Favourite Husband to Friends cafe.
When I’ve previously walked past, I often see the staff chatting with people seated outside. So Friends looked friendly. Plus Matthew Perry and all that … well you get my drift.
And I was right (obvs) super nice staff, very smiley, quick service and just an all round good feel.
I went with the smashed avo, a side of bacon and I asked for the toast on the side. The Favourite Husband, not known for any spontaneity or breaking the chains of confinement, went with the usual big breakkie. Holy macaroni, there must have been two avocados on my plate. Absolute taste sensation. With crumbled feta, red onion and lemon. The bacon was perfect and the toast was duly on the side as requested. There was so much I actually couldn’t finish it. And I’m a glutton so …
And the same with the big breakkie, great presentation, huge amount of food, piping hot, and decadent garlic roasted potato to top it all off.
The coffee was hot and strong. Much like the Favourite Husband.
As we left we agreed that a mid-week breakkie date here could become a regular thing.

The food was amazing and the customer service was great aswell we got the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce they put on tasted really good very zingy which is hard to find in cafes the vanilla thick shack was yum to
Quiet lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Tasty food, good value for money. Good GF options. Nice variety of food, hard to choose which, will definitely come back.
Friendly staff who have a nothing is a problem attitude, the meal was quickly done and layer out well.
We have steaks and each one was cooked to perfection as to what we requested. Recommend this cafe for a drop-in or full meal. Will be back
Fabulous, tidy, modern looking cafe. Ordered eggs benedict with salmon, what was beautifully presented. It tasted delicious, with a jacket potato, beetroot puree and a great piece of salmon. Great food and friendly service, we will be back for sure!
The food and customer service was fantastic. I noticed that there were two staff members working. (One serving, the other cooking). I could tell it was a very popular cafe and it was busy just
after we arrived. I decided to take my partner there for a date. I appreciate the lady who served us she was very kind and mentioned that the ice cream machine was down but she let us know and what our other options are. I was very happy with my meal and same with my partner. Thank you very much, I hope you read this friendly cafe staff. Good work. :)
Had the most delicious souffle omelet today with fresh vege filling and mushrooms on the side, very big size, good flat white too. Will definitely be back!
Coffee was great. Ordered an English muffin. They forgot it then when came was oven dry and egg in it cold. Been before an been good.
Seafood chowder wasnice n warm, but little salty. And the toast bread which comes with the chowder was burnt back side it taste bitter. Also i got a large cup of latte just like the picture. I never seen this latte art entire my whole life in nz. Overall good!
