I would say we are pretty happy about the place; food is good and met our expectations.
They don’t have free side dishes such as kimchi and etc; it’s uncommon for a Korean restaurant, but not really a complaint on that one. Still a 5/5 for us.
Food was pretty good here. Liked the vegetable soy bean stew, felt really nutritious which is what we needed. The fried chicken was okay, have had a lot better but was still fine. The original chicken had no seasoning so wouldn't recommend, but the sweet and spicy chicken was pretty good.
Still much better food than a lot of places in town. Cozy atmosphere, reminds me of the korean restaurants back home. Thank you :)
Very satisfied with all the foods that we were ordered. 10/10 and it served with big portion. Highly recommended for number 23!
What really touched me at dinner was how the boss (my guess) asked the staff to move us to a quiet table away from a noisy group who was likely their regular customers. That in itself already earned the five-star rating that I was so ready to give.
Food is authentically Korean, and my friends and I love it there.. Wish I have a bigger stomach to enjoy a wider variety of food they offer!
If you like kpop music this Korean restaurant is the place for you. They have a good range of Korean food available and the prices are quite reasonable for Queenstown.
Had to wait half n hour to get it, but the food and ambiance was really nice. The best out of the bunch was the spicy Beef Bulgogi. We also tried Bibimbap, Soupy Bulgogi, Korean Fried Chicken and Makgeolli.
We went late on a cold Sunday evening and the place was nicely busy with a few empty tables and heaters dotted around the room. Very friendly service. Excellent food at a good price
We've eaten at lots of Koreans around the world and this is one of our favourites
Also the side dishes are only $1.50nzd, don't know why other reviews are complaining. That's so cheap compared to London!
I Love Kimchi is one of the best Korean restaurants in Queenstown. A cute place with great ambience, excellent music and very friendly staff. Advisable to book before going as it does get busy however my partner and I walked in during our trip to QTown and managed to get a table. I had Vegetarian Tofu stew with rice whilst my partner had spicy stir fry chicken with vegetables on rice. Side dishes are to be ordered separately. Both the dishes were so delicious with good portion size. The quality of both the dishes was spot on. We absolutely loved it and went there a second time as its that good. Prices are reasonable for the size of dish and yummylicious taste. Highly recommend and a must visit when in Queenstown.
We were overall happy with our food and service. The food is slightly on the saltier side but still delicious. Like what most others said, the meal does not come with complimentary side dishes or banchan which is not typical of a Korean restaurant - so minus 1 star for that! They should at least give a small saucer of kimchi as service which is really basic Korean hospitality..
We spent $71 for 2 anyway, and left belly satisfied. Our favourites were the japchae and bean paste stew! Bibimbap was too wet and couldn’t form a nice crust. But really, we were just happy to find decent Korean food in Queenstown!
Very authentic korean restaurant.
Food was delicious and the staff very friendly and kind.
When we went, around 8pm, there were plenty of available tables. Also, there were a few walk ins around 9pm and the kitchen was still open.
Other places around town didn't accept walk ins after 8pm.
