Easily the best Chinese restaurant in Auckland. Friendly and professional staff, awesome food and reasonable prices.
I am a huge fan of the Chinese cuisine and I've tried many restaurants in Auckland, but Canton Flavor is my favorite. I must point out that their Hot and Sour Soup is the best I ever ate, it is just perfect. You must try out if you don't mind spicy food.
We have eaten here since the Albany yum cha shut down, it’s even better than that one. We go back because of the amazing service, exceptionally clean eating area, and of course, the beautiful food.
My family and I are a bunch of all sorts with differing opinions on almost everything, the one thing we’re all united on is our love of this restaurant.
I recommend this to anyone who wants a genuine taste of great Asian hospitality and food!

Loved:
- Range of steamed options, not just carb heavy food
- food was served promptly and service was really good. Super friendly and happy to make to order if what you want isnt being served at that point of time
- the sticky rice!!!
- the fact that the buns etc were small so you could try a bit of everything
Didnt love
- not served or offered tea
- they dont clear dishes whilst you eat so they just keep piling up
- its 55 minutes away from home😂

Food and service at Canton Flavor are always excellent. It is always our favorite dim sum place. Just found out they have $25 dim sum buffet on Tuesday night. Will definitely try!
Accommodating, friendly staff with delicious food!! We were so satisfied with what we ate that we regrettably didn’t have any room for siu mai (my mum’s favourite!) Will be back to use my Zomato Gold again!!

First time enjoy Zomato Gold at this restaurant , the crab meat and sweet corn soup taste good ! Also ordered salt and pepper tofu and sweet and sour fish fillet , the portion was good and taste pretty average. The service was friendly and prompt

Excellent food and really good service by the lady who served us. We had 4 dishes and all were really nice! Even offered free dessert for us to try. I highly recommend this place.

A wonderful place to have yum cha lunch. We ordered Stir-fried Rice Noodles with beef and some dim sums. The food was absolutely delicious! Friendly staff and great service! Highly recommended!

Wonderful place. During the lunchtime they serve yum cha, but you still can order anything from the menu. The menu has photos of everything, which is really good when you are with kids. Child friendly, some high chairs are available. I think this is the best yum cha in this area.
Authentic Cantonese cuisine at an affordable price. Has to be one of the best Chinese Restaurants in Auckland. We live nearby and we frequently go for their delicious Yum Cha Lunch. They also serve an excellent Dinner. Great service and friendly and helpful staff. Situated in old Silverdale Village.
My third visit here for lunch. Thoroughly loved the food again. Family group this time. Wonderful friendly and efficient service - they gave our 3yr old a dinosaur plate (he loved it!). We'll be back!
My family and I always come here and I have to say the service is great the people are friendly but most importantly the food is alway consistently good!! Today would have to have been the best for service. We asked for ice water and the ladies who served us kept it coming!!! And the food turning up at our table was the same, We never had a moment where we were waiting. Highly recommended to all foodies!

Great food and great service. Tried the buffet. Not too oily like most trolley type buffet. Not too sweet on the dessert. Good value for money especially if you're hungry.
Best BBQ pork buns I’ve had. Service was a little slow but it was busy and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed the food.
Well hidden behind the Silverdale Village, this restaurant has a strong local following as well as receiving travellers as they return to Auckland from their holidays up north. There is fresh fish and lobster available and their roasted duck is highly recommended. Seating is fairly limited so go early (before 6pm) or make a reservation. There is a small deck that overlooks the river so that can entertain the kids for a short while.
