Highly recommend this place, we often visit on a Sunday and take advantage of their $20 lunch special.
Awesome staff and the food is always great, also right by the beach for a walk afterwards.

I had dinner here with a girlfriend, I order the pan fried tarakihi fish and she got the beef eye fillet. We also shared the house falafel. The food was cooked to perfection, I would highly recommend the fish, the skin was crispy and seasoned well. My friend also enjoy her beef. The house falafels were deep fried and nice and soft when we bit into them. The portions are just about right for us two ladies but I would recommend ordering more if you're hungry. The owners were very helpful and provided great service throughout the night. Great atmosphere and it was spacious so we could have a decent conversation without having to shout. I would be back to try their other dishes.
This was our first visit after quarantine and we couldn’t wait to come back! As always, the food was great, and we felt very comfortable with the table distancing! Our fave of the day was the fish of the day, highly recommend it!

On a Friday afternoon for lunch, 3 of us came to this place. Instantly liked the atmosphere n relaxed surrounding. Prompt n friendly service. We all ordered beers on tap n Boundary Road Mumbo Jumbo IPA with express lunches. Express lunch is to choose 1 starter with 1 mains from range of items. Garlic bread, home made bread with home made hummus were our starters. Lamb shoulder, chargrilled eggplant and thigh of chicken. All items were great except Garlic bread which could be softer. Good portions. Will definitely visit this place again. 4/5 in all aspects.
We were absolutely delighted when I came here and loved the new menu. My fiancé and I came for the night out, and I must say the food was superb. We had shared the eggplant entree which was killer in flavour and something new to try. I had ordered the chicken fregola and it was outstanding. My fiancé had the fish of the day, and was very fresh and something we are definitely coming back for. The peak of our evening was when we tried the Knafeh dessert, it was divine. Not only this, but the ambience was exquisite, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Defiantly will be coming back!
We came here with a First Table reservation for three people.
We got the Calamari Entree, Arancini di Riso, and a Knafeh dessert to share. I chose the Chicken Parmigiana as my main.
The food was all superb, the calamari was flavourful and surprisingly melted in your mouth, the outer layer of the arancini was light and crispy and risotto filling was perfectly soft and aromatic. The chicken in the parmigiana was succulent and tender, the juiciness of the tomato sauce and eggplant paired perfectly, and although the potatoes were just a side in the dish, they were standout.
The knafeh dessert was something none of us had heard of so we were eager to try, and we certainly did not regret. The dessert was soft, creamy, and not overpoweringly sweet.
Ambience was great for a catch-up dinner like the one we had, and service was friendly and quick.

Food: we had the lunch special: For starters, we had 1) baba ghanoush: good portion and taste. 2) Pumpkin soup: very small portion of watery soup that tasted nothing like pumpkin soup. For mains, we had chicken schnitzel, good taste and portion.
Service: We felt that the restaurant was understaffed for the busy weekend, hence the service wasn't the best. Servers seemed to be avoiding eye contact with customers, so it took some time to make an order and it took around an hour for our mains to be served. One of the female staff, had a grumpy/stressed? face which, although was not directed at us in particular, still made us feel uncomfortable - we expect servers to meet and serve us with a smile rather than a poker face. The two younger female servers who were on shift yesterday (9.12.23), were both lovely though.
We will still be back as generally, Aubergine is a good restaurant that provides good food and nice atmosphere.
Went for a group event for $30 set Lunch menu. Restaurant was very busy on Thursday noon. Food and service was good , atmosphere was superb. I ordered Baba Gounush for starter , chicken schnitzel for main and Sticky date pudding , Tiramisu for dessert. Portion size was very good , it was a good value for money. I highly recommend this for group or even small gathering. You won't be disappointed.
First time I've ever been here. The food was amazing. First time that I've ordered a side salad and it was a decent salad with a variety of goodies in it. It was divine, and so was the squid. Unfortunately, our meals took quite a while to come out, and then staff never returned to ask if we wanted any more drinks. We had to get someone's attention.
My recent outing at Aubergine was an absolute delight. This place has a fancy vibe with everything looking spick and span. But what truly stole my heart was their Sticky Date Pudding! For anyone who wants to enjoy a bit of fancy dining with a side of fantastic desserts! Can accommodate to Halal food requests too which was lovely.

It was better than I've anticipated.
The waitress immediately asked me if I wanted water, I said yes. Water was tap like I requested. After I ordered a lemon lime bitters and scotch fillet, I didn't have to wait too long. The way the staff did service was great. They were generally very attentive, and were the same towards other customers. I can see why this place gets busy.
Scotch fillet tasted good. Broccoli was well cooked, though I was hoping for a little more broccoli. Roast potatoes were also well cooked. They also had some spice which was mild. I assume it was added to live up to its Mediterranean cuisine. Though it was still good. The sauce was generally good. Most significantly, the steak itself was decently well cooked.
Environment wise, it have enough seats for people to sit in. Even the outdoors have enough tables for people to sit. I like how outside was not too bright. There was enough shade. Music was not played too loudly, which did not disrupt the experience. Also, despite the limited amount of toilets, I've been in one and it was clean.
Overall, atmosphere was good, food was great, and the way the staff did customer service stood out to me the most. Let's see if future experiences, continue to be similar.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! The best food I've had at a restaurant for a very long time. Dinner, dessert and drinks were faultless. Staff were super friendly, meals came out quickly. Lovely owner too! Will definitely be back 💯
