My first time using a QR menu love how easy it was. The courtyard garden is accessible via a corridor. This is a quiet oasis. Great range of food the usual with so unique items. Definitely recommend this place.

Had an amazing meal at the Plumm Cafe with my pup 🐶 Highly recommend this dog-friendly cafe! Solid coffee, delicious food, and always friendly service. Perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Googled best breakfast north shore. Was definitely a fantastic place to eat. Great presentation and we left satisfied.

Absolutely stunning presentation! Everything looked so nice. The flavours were unique and different to other cafes. The chips were absolutely amazing! So crispy and a highlight. The drinks were all delicious and fresh. The smoothies were flavoursome. The Hotcakes were insane and full of delicious flavour. The veggie stack was amazing!! So many amazing elements. The smashed avo was nice! The avocado was a little brown and needed more flavour. The French toast was really nice but very sweet. Would have liked more mascarpone to balance out the sweetness. The venue was really nice out the back and lovely on a nice day!

What at first appears to be a simple and cozy cafe front hides a delightful hideaway garden where delicious food can be enjoyed in a open and airy setting. The waffle and fried chicken and the pancakes are certainly highlights in a simple yet enjoyable menu. Highly recommended as an excellent alternative to the busy beach front options.

From day one I have loved this cafe, it's easily my favorite cafe in Takapuna... delicious food, great service and the owners are awesome! Serving great coffee each time and their garden out the back is absolutely lovely... highly recommended. I always bring friends here for catch up, love it!!

Not enough reviews here mention the coffee, it's A game all day here for the coffee. If you think the photos on here all look like they are posed professional photos it's because the plate presentation is just perfect. Oh yeah, the food is mega tasty too, just in case taste is more important to you than presentation.

Cute little back patio ! It is an asian cafe that offers your typical cafe food with a slight twist. The waffle was a little dried but flavours were good ! Only giving a four star because the food took ages! Still worth coming, but it’s more like your first and last time kinda cafe.

hi this place deserves 10 stars ! so ridiculously glad we chose this cafe for a nice breakfast ! the outdoor seating is so lovely, it’s such a hidden gem. the iced mocha is the best i’ve ever had (got a soy milk one for myself which wasn’t as good but next time i’ll definitely risk my dairy intolerance for the real deal) the charcoal waffle and fried chicken was sooo good, the best breakfast chicken and waffles i’ve had and im so impressed by the portions for only $22 ! the beef burger wasn’t as enjoyable as we didn’t like the way the beef was cooked but the rest of the burger was delicious. i think the fries are store made (not the regular frozen bags) and were nice and crispy but not my favourite (im a lowkey fry connoisseur). i loved my experience here and will definitely be returning ! um ps im really sad i didn’t get flowers in my drink :(

Nice garden and staffs but foods take 40 mins to make and the fried chicken croffle is not as expected( sauce a bit salty and croffle is cold seems because it s been waiting for the chicken) but over a great place to chill if just for drinks and the environment

Where to start.... Amazing quality and standard of food, matched by the quick quality service by staff. Ontop of that we are eating in a quiet hidden little gem... I definitely would reccomend.

Can't decide between corn fritters and eggs bene? No problem, The Plumm have taken all the tasty things and put them together. Well presented food but not at the expense of quality or quantity. Friendly service and good coffee. Just yum.

Right close to Takapuna beach 🏖️ ... Ample parking 🅿️ ... Great hospitality ... Awesome food ... Tried their coffee, hot chocolate, Eggs 🥚 your way and folded ommlette 🍳... They've also got a nice outdoor dining area and a secret alley that leads to it!!

I loved dining in the garden out the back, such a beautiful setting for a well presented lunch. I had the chicken salad which was perfect and the presentation was beautiful. The serving size was perfect too. My friend had the cinamon toast which had the most amazing presentation. The candy floss on top was not what you expect, it was rose flavoured and not too sweet. The cinamon toast tasted amazing too. I would definitely recommend going here.

A good cafe to visit once in a while, where you can enjoy the patio style seating. It does get busy so best to call and reserve a table. Food looks and tastes good. Price wise it is on par with other fancy cafes. $50 for 2 roughly. The wait for food is a bit long but worth it. Staff are really friendly. Best to park on Killarney St if you can’t find on Hurstmere Rd itself.

an interesting cafe, walk outside the cafe and follow the sign, you will see a small decorated alley, and a gardern is at the end of it. Food here are pretty and tasty, infused with korean flavor. the only thing is my friend and I forgot to mention about zomato gold at the beginning as we are talking, amwhen we mention at counter afterwards, the guy looked quite unhappy and said salmon dish cost an extra $6, so we paid, but he seemed still unhappy or angry.

I loved this place! It doesn't look like much front of house, but the garden in the back was sunny and peaceful. The menu is interesting and the presentation is outstanding! Service was friendly and good. I had the Breakfast Bagel which is basically a Big Breakfast, and it was great. The bacon in particular was really crispy which is very rare. I tried my friend's berry smoothie and it was really fresh and berry focused unlike most places which overload smoothies with ice or yoghurt. And if you are wondering what the other dish is, it's the smoked salmon scramble and my friend liked it. Will definitely be back!

The Plumm is my favourite place for a brunch in takapuna, we regularly come here! The coffee, service and outside seating area is fabulous!

Love the blueberry hot cakes. They use very fresh fruits. The tamarilo was quite sour but it balanced with the blueberry syrup. The fried chicken was good, but the waffle felt too dense. The staff were friendly. Overall pretty good.

Found on Zomato and had brunch here. Had a nice cozy vibe and our staff was super kind. <br/><br/>Food was very delicious with good portion sizes. I loved my halloumi salad, especially the croutons! The dressing wasn’t bland and all the flavors were blending in well. <br/><br/>I had matcha latte so it wasn’t real coffee but looking forward to try flat white next time ! <br/>

I am a regular here as I live across the road. I don't know what people are complaining about. The staff are always lovely they know their regulars by name and are always happy to please. The food is fresh and tasty and great coffee

Thought I'd pop in to see what the fuss was all about and I can confirm on the questionable hygene and their staff being rude. It's a wonder why they run this type of business in the first place since they don't seem to enjoy what they do.

Came here on Saturday morning for Brunch and loved the friendly staff, the food was so fresh and delicious and presentation beautiful. Dog friendly and best almond milk latte ever! Would recommend checking them out.

Mixed reviews on this cafe but thought we would try as the positive reviews were good. Ordered the hotcakes and the french toast burger. Different carbs but the two dishes were basically the same. Tasteless. Only flavour was the sweetness of the syrup but there wasn't even enough of it for the dishes to taste like anything. What was meant to be a brioche bun also just tasted like a plain burger bun. Definitely not worth the $19-20 for each dish. Not even worth it for the one plus one on zomato gold.

Really cute place with hidden out door area which is perfect for summer time! Food was lovey and fresh and staff were friendly, quick service and would definitely recommend the drive out to Takapuna for this place for good food and a beach day

Such a cute little place! If you follow the footprints, it takes you to a 'secret' courtyard where it's sunny, airy and spacious. They have zomato gold here, which is a bonus! Food is delicious and presented beautifully. My partner got the pancakes while I got the chicken with green tea waffles (sounds weird, but it actually went well together). Will definitely come back again and try more of the menu

Ordered the mince and eggs benedict. Mince states it comes with toast but was not toasted so was soggy. The eggs benedict eggs were not runny, was fully cooked and hollaindaise lacked flavour. Tables outside were dirty and was still dirty after asking for it to be cleaned. Drinking cups had yellow things in it. Food looked nice but taste was bad. Had a piece of fluff in it also.<br/>As per photos, management is an absolute joke.<br/>Bad managagement, bad cafe.

Delicious hot cakes and matcha waffles! The pancakes were a little too sweet but the coffee was 10/10! Great portion sizes, not too much but not too little. The food took around 10 mins to arrive as the place was quiet at 12noon on a Friday. The menu has a great variety of dishes.<br/>The outdoor “secret garden” seating area was easy to find and a great place to eat on a sunny day - fabulous atmosphere! Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be coming back :)

Lovely atmosphere and loved the outdoor seating area.<br/><br/>But the food was average.<br/>I regretted ordering the burger, meat was quite bland, had way too much fat in it regardless of it being braised pork and the sauce and the bao bun together wasn’t that enjoyable.<br/>The wedges were the best thing on that dish.<br/><br/>And most of all the portion was way too small.. we ended up going to the beach cafe for more food.

Beware, charges their customers $4 surcharges on certain dishes. We got charged extra for ordering salmon with no notification until after ordering, upon being questioned they were argumentative with their us and threatened to apply no zomato gold at all. The salmon eggs bene comes with a corn fritter that for us wasn’t cooked properly and still had a batter consistency. Our waiters were lovely and the back garden is also a nice area.

The food was amazing, as you can see by the photos but actually tasted even better, the winner was definitely the pancakes. It was a mix of sweet, but we added bacon which added a really nice salty aspect (note if you don't add bacon it's a vegan dish)<br/>The burger was done really well, love how soft the pork was, and the flavors were really nice. I went here due to the allure of the zomato gold deal and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, filling and very nicely presented as well. This cafe also includes a quiet picturesque garden seating area that's perfect to enjoy the good weather in.<br/><br/>We ordered the matcha waffles and fried chicken and the blueberry hotcakes. Both of which were delicious. The hotcakes were toasty on the outside and soft in the middle, and were served with a generous helping of fresh fruits and mascarpone. The fried chicken was the star, it was really crispy and well seasoned, as well as giving a generous helping with the waffles. The one downfall would be the lack of kimchi as they only gave a few slices but with or without the kimchi, they were still absolutely delicious.<br/><br/>We ordered beetroot latte and earl grey for drinks, which were very aesthetic and came fast. The beetroot latte did not taste of coffee (which may be purposeful) but was pretty nice if you enjoy a subtle taste of beetroot. The earl grey was nice and filled two small servings with milk added.<br/><br/>Overall, would definitely return to try more of their menu out in the future and highly recommend you do so too.

Came here due to high rating. But was very disappointed with very average food and really really loud Baristar. He made loud metal bangs in the small dining area when making drinks.<br/><br/>Food was average. Over priced for what it was. Forgot to take photos.

We saw this place on zomato gold and decided to check it out. It turned out to be mediocre at its best and I really wished that we had gone to some place else for brunch.<br/><br/>The cafe was pretty busy when we walked in so I understand that no one came to greet us or came to get our order later.<br/><br/>But when I went over to the counter to order, they then told us that two of the items on the menu were unavailable. Went back to the table for my friend to re-pick. <br/><br/>Use of zomato gold was easy - they do ask you to pay $4 extra for salmon dishes.<br/><br/>I found the coffee really nice.<br/><br/>We then waited around 40 minutes for our dishes to arrive. The waitstaff became attentive when I asked roughly when the dishes will be coming. They offered us two free drinks and apologised which again was nice. The staff is what made this place two stars from one.<br/><br/>The food... I was utterly disappointed, which is why I decided to leave a review. When the they came out, the presentation was great (unfortunately no photo as I wasn’t intending on doing a full on review). I ordered the breakfast bagel and my friend ordered the mushroom eggs bene.<br/><br/>Don’t know how the mushroom bene was other than the mushrooms being way too salty (friend’s comment).<br/><br/>My breakfast bagel was made of baked beans straight out of a can, hash brown tasted like one of those you could get from the frozen section of a super market, and the sausage! Scrambled egg was alright - probably cook a little too much for my liking.<br/><br/>I sound like a snob and maybe my expectations of what a cafe food should be became too high over the couple of years but I left feeling like I could’ve made the same dish at home. And that’s a pretty big deal.. because I suck at cooking.<br/><br/>I’m really sorry I had to write such a negative review but if I saw a review like this I would’ve skipped having a brunch at The Plumm.

Nice little cafe in Takapuna with a hidden garden at the back. Matcha crepe with korean style fried chicken is truely the highlight of this cafe. I enjoyed it so so much. Will have to try the charcoal burger next time i come here :)

I arrive at 28th Dec once I finished my meal,I was told to from 27th to 30th the zomato gold not working. How come as I still can get the code from Zomato. Bad experience and won’t come again

I noticed the photos on the instgram, I decided to have a try. We ordered a blueberry hotcake. It is beautiful and tasty. Another dish we ordered was waffle with fried chicken. The taste is average. It is too dry for me. Although the presentation is beautiful, it is not well matched. It has zomato gold and the price is very reasonable. It is worth coming again.

I never write down review on zomato. But i have to coz i love this cafe! Super lovely staffs and awesome food. Also, had a smoothie and iced americano, great drinks

Caution! Any Zomato Gold users will have a surcharge on Charcoal Burger or any dishes with Salmon!<br/><br/>Came for lunch, decided to sit at the back. The garden around the back is very cute, a nice old plum tree with some fruits on it. The food was quite good and we ordered 3 burgers and 1 vege stack with bacon. At the end, I found out that because I was using Zomato Gold, the restaurant adds a surcharge to the Charcoal Burger! What a rip off! You get a free dish but you have to pay more for other dishes 😡<br/>Overall the food, the experience and vibes was quite nice, but that surcharge ruined the experience for me.

Absolutely loved the blueberry pancakes. They were so soft and fluffy. They were not overly sweet and the fresh fruit went along great! <br/>The beef burger on the other hand was disappointing... had to pay an extra $4 surcharge to use Zomato gold. The burger was small in size and beef inside was very small in comparison to the bun. Would have been better with a beef patty rather than the soft piece of beef in the burger.

No greeting on arrival dispite the fact they have a small entrance area. Provided only one menu for two people. The back garden was nice. The mince dish was too sweet, flat white's milk foam wasn't great (rugh foam seperating from milk as soon as it came out). Staff was very snappy at the fact that my partner forgot to mention 'zomato gold', repeatly told me I shoud have told him even after I apologised.

Went to have a quick lunch with a friend and was really happy! <br/><br/>They have a cute garden just around the corner where you can eat, polite staff, fast service, good portion sizes and honestly had the best tasting avocado on toast I have ever had on the North Shore. <br/><br/>Very keen to go back soon!!

Such a nice little cafe - came here for brunch with mum. We ordered the hotcake and french toast. My mum is usually not much of a sweet tooth but she really enjoyed the hotcakes as it was just the right amount of sweet and also had lots of fresh fruits. Quality was great. The presentation was spectacular and the taste was just as good. We also got a cappucino and flatwhite which were both very very good. They have a hidden outdoor area which wouldve been perfect if the weather was a bit less windy so we ended up sitting inside.

What a cute & lovely piece of art on a plate! The colorful fruits were so refreshing with the strong taste of honey(syrup?)<br/>The pancake was so fluffy + moist. I wonder if I can find a better one from other cafes after experiencing this high level of pancake dish.

Popped in for lunch with a friend and we absolutely loved it here. There is seating inside and outside and also a courtyard out the back and on your way to the courtyard there is really cool neon lights. There are blankets too which are so handy and cute. To eat we both had the pancakes which came out so quick and they were presented so well. These are the prettiest pancakes I've ever had and they were the tastiest too. The fruit around it was so fresh and the berry compote on top was so good and everything just went together so well. This is a new fave of mine and I will definitely be back very soon x

Great place in Takapuna. they look small at first but they have more outdoor space at the back. food tastes great and have interesting drink menus. would definitely recommend

Had brunch here this morning with a friend and was so happy and glad with my choice of coming here. The service was so sweet and friendly and they have a variety of seating. We were given the choice of sitting out back in a little garden, inside the cafe or at a small table outside. At all the small tables outside where we sat they also had blankets so that you wouldn’t get cold which was very cute. The wait took about 10 minutes to get our delicious pancakes which have now topped any others i’ve tried. This cafe by far is my fave in Takapuna by far and make the best pancakes ever. The pancakes weren’t dry and tasted so good. The fruits you could tell were fresh and were just made. The prices are quite cheap as well. Hope to come back and try their coloured lattes soon :)

We ordered the avo smash with salmon, mushroom omelette, flat white, and soy latte. Avo smash was delicious with fresh avocado, I also enjoyed the sprinkle of feta and beetroot puree which complemented it well. Omelette was yum but the toast was a tad hard. Coffee was standard. Staff were friendly and had great service. Overall, would come back!

My vege stack was amazing!! Didnt know vegetables can taste that gooooood!! I experimented with beetroot latte and i didnt love it but it was still fun to try something new :)

Thought I’d be different and a beetroot latte - have some mixed reviews about this. It tastes good but feels like hot beetroot purée.. <br/><br/>The matcha waffles on the other hand were amazing 👍🏽👍🏽

No ones there when we arrive at the front, didn't realize there's garden seats at the back of the cafe, had a look after meal and it looks nice. Nice coffee, friendly services. We used Zomato gold.

Their chips looked pretty unique too I have not seen any other cafes that served chips like that, possibly cut them selves. <br/>Highly recommended I am definitely going back again!

Nice and tidy little cafe in Takapuna, staff are all really friendly. I had the charcoal bun pork burger, the pork was seasoned perfectly and so tender with generous portion. The beer battered fries were cooked to perfection as well, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.<br/><br/>Seems like they are popular with the locals as staff can call customers by name, definitely will be back again.

Saw this place when driving by the other day and thought it was worth checking out! Super cosy and vibrant, they have an awesome backyard area. The food was delicious and refreshing, filled us right to the brim! Great service as well ☺️

Fabulous outside courtyard area and friendly staff.  The coffee was good and hot.  The savoury muffin, although packed with veges, was too sweet.  Please add a pinch of cayenne instead of a tablespoon of sugar.
