Review Movenpick - Takapuna

Friendly service, allowed to try a few flavours before you get to choose your favourite. Ordered Tiramisu and Mango & cream ice-cream, both of them taste lovely. I like how Movenpick blend the ingredients into their ice-cream, makes their ice-cream stands out from other brands.

A pretty good experience, the service staff are pretty patient and enthusiastic with their jobs. There are many flavours to choose from and the shop is clean and tidy. Everyone likes their ice cream.

Not bad but quite pricey for even just a kiddie scoop. The worker there was really nice and patient and let us choose 2 flavors for 1 scoop

This is a nice place. The ice cream is expensive but very good so I think it is worth it. You can try flavors and the man serving me was very polite. I took a long time deciding and he was helpful and funny.

The girls were super friendly and made us feel welcome! Customer service is great, everyone was so nice and helpful, especially after experiencing bad customer service at Dxxk Island. The portion of the ice cream is huge and the ice cream are very delicious. The waffle cone was very tasty and probably the best I’ve had in a while! I will be back!

Quick and polite service. The vanilla brownie ice cream was delicious! Edit - Went to Movenpick Takapuna again this week. They were all out of vanilla brownie ice cream so I got the cappuccino ice cream instead (on the left of picture). It was really yummy! You could taste the coffee in it but it wasn't too strong or overwhelming. Also not very bitter.

Very helpful staff who gave us samples for tasting before buying. Ice cream was high quality and coffee was delicious 😋

Lovely lady staff that attended on us, couple of Fridays ago. Lava cake was well presented and as good as how it looks. The ambience is perfect and the ice cream will not disappoint.

Staff members are cheerful and welcoming. We tried a whole bunch of flavours, kids absolutely loved it! And like every one else said, the scoops are quite a lot, totally worth the price.

Staff are friendly, everything is clean and ice cream very flavorsome. Delicious date idea to grab an ice cream and walk to the beach and this Movenpick also does plates of different ice cream on their menu for a little more which could be fun for tasting

We ordered maple macadamia and cream & mango in a cup. Both very creamy and smooth! As a visitor from Canberra (Australia) felt the icecream was creamier than back home 🥴 And they open until 10:00pm which is a bonus for night owls like us who would like an icecream supper before bed😋 Movenpick closed in Manuka (Canberra) few years ago, we miss you!

Since it was so hot today, I decided to get a strawberry panna cotta ice cream. Having tried many movenpick ice creams such as crème brûlée, tiramisu, blueberry cheesecake, mango sorbet, cappuccino, chocolate and the classic vanilla. Strawberry panna cotta is one of my favourites as well as blueberry cheesecake and cappuccino. The ice cream was refreshing and super creamy. However, the scoop was slightly smaller than the Parnell branch but the cone was quite good

Stopped in here a while ago with the family after a nice lunch nearby, and everyone was so happy and loved it. The ambience is quite small but has outdoor seating so there is quite a big seating variety. The ice cream at Movenpick has always been my favourite due to the yummy variety of delicious flavours and the service here is always so sweet.

Love the ice cream here its always so yum and I love how they make their own waffle cones as they are the best tasting waffle cones ever!!! The ice cream flavours are so creative as-well they're almost gourmet. One of my fav places to get ice cream :))

Delicious flavours, highly recommend the Creme brulee, great service but okay pricing. Very near the beach so it's the perfect spot before the beach.

Probably the best spot in Takapuna to grab an ice cream, Movenpick in Taka is a reliable spot. Lovely staff, quick service and delicious ice cream. I’m a big fan of the dessert plates, this time round I got treated to a fudge brownie with vanilla brownie ice cream and it was wonderful. To satisfy your ice cream craving make sure to visit Movenpick in Taka!

They have great service and great ice-cream, it is good in a hot sunny day. Go there with friends and family all the time. They all ways have really good ice-cream.

Yum ice cream but the price is high. Only really for a special treat is it worth it. My thoughts there are other local dessert places that are better

After a bbq buffet, an ice cream dessert sounds pretty good. We got the flavor of the week blueberry cheesecake with berry sauce, nuts, and cream. The line wasn’t busy but there were still plenty of people lining up at around 9.30pm. The ice cream has a decent amount of blueberry flavor on top of a cheesy cake. I’m pretty sure we got more than 1 scoop for the price of 1 which is a bonus. <br/><br/>Taste - 8/10<br/>Price - 8/10<br/>Size - 9/10

Nice sunny afternoon on Tuesday after work, although the shop nearly had customers, it took them about 20mins just to order my single scoop. Thanks for the ice cream Movenpick Takapuna

Stopped by after lunch for ice cream. Ordered the nut lovers dream shared platter.<br/><br/>There was only one person on (it was midday on a Thursday) so there was a little wait for ordering.<br/><br/>The platter was alright although the cream was over-whipped. Ice cream was nice like always.<br/><br/>There was a fairly nice seating area outside but it was quite small.

Surprisingly I don't go for their ice cream however I believe it's excellent.<br/>Their iced coffee: WOW, now that's worth going for!!! Great coffee strength (real coffee used), good and creamy, not too thick and not too thin, just perfect in every way... pity it disappeared so quickly :-)<br/>Go give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

One of the best ice cream ive tasted here in auckland! Creamy but not so sweet. It satisfy my taste buds and made me crave for more! Will surely love to indulge in here again. Price is right!

It was very disappointing.<br/>One of a staff was unkind, professional and threw changes on the shelf. <br/>Even if she was having a bad day, showing bad mood and customer service on me was not acceptable. She knew how I felt after paying icecream. She should know how customer feel with that behaviour and was very unprofessional and need to be trained more on customer service.<br/>but the ice cream was nice.

I love movenpick ice cream they make the best mint chocolate ice cream that I have ever had! Their desserts are also amazing just a little expensive

There's no denying that Movenpick make the best ice cream.... I know some people swear by the Belgian stuff, or even some of the craft brands coming out of NZ, but when the Swiss put their mind to something (usually chocolate or watch making) they really nail it. The only thing that is a bit disappointing here is the service and perhaps the price. Took us ages to get acknowledged, apparently waffle making was the main priority for the lone operator when we were there this morning. Also for two items for our kids (single waffle cone and vanilla milkshake) we paid $17. Unfortunately this is the reality we now live in, and if you want quality you need to shell out for it :-)

You can't go wrong with a place like Movenpick. An excellent selection of ice-creams, hot drinks and desserts.<br/>A group of us came here for a late night treat and the staff were lovely and service was excellent. We mainly ordered from the dessert cabinet, but special mention does go to the cheesecakes which were very filling.<br/>The espresso cake was also nice and crumbly, and they all had the option of coming with a scoop of ice-cream.<br/>Desserts are well priced, but the ice-cream costs could be reconsidered.

It's the same amazing ice cream, but without the snarky attitude you can get at some other stores. As always, Movenpick is possibly the best ice cream chain around and the quality never disappoints. I've never been met with anything other than a smile at this branch either. An absolute must for any day or date at Taka beach.<br/><br/>Little tummy: Ice creeeeeam!!! No matter how full I am (we had just finished dinner before coming here), I alwaaaays have room for Movenpick. The staff at this store were super friendly and generous too, topping our cup/cone up to spilling point. The perfect way to finish off a night in Takapuna!

With an abundance of dessert, froyo and ice cream shops these days it seems like we're spoiled for choice when it comes to dessert! <br/><br/>With all that said, I will always choose Movenpick as you can never go wrong with a good old fashioned ice cream. <br/><br/>Movenpick is home to the finest ice cream I have ever tried! Movenpick brings back the *best summer memories. Every summer, I make my way up from the beach to grab some of Movenpicks delicious ice cream. I prefer to grab a tub from the supermarket as scoops are a little pricey in comparison. I can't complain though! I love trying their new flavours but I always find myself going back to the classics like Creme brûlée, stracciatella or tiramisu! <br/><br/>*One of my favourite memories was when a group of us went to Movenpick in the evening after a day of adventuring at some random waterfall. I claimed my two free tubs of Movenpick that I won from entering their #movenpicd contest. Such a fond memory.

Yum! Love movenpick ice cream, this place is in a great location for a post-beach treat. They offer a wide variety of flavours, my fav is the creme brûlée in a waffle cone.

Lovely ice cream. You might love the walnut maple ice cream. And the Swiss chocolate ice cream is amazing too. It's quite addictive....so if you are on a diet, you might want to avoid getting familiar with the taste. They also serve coffee and cakes. They don't have many seats... But if the weather is nice, you could sit on the modern benches outside.

Um it was fine here, the guy serving us seemed to have a bit of trouble understanding what we were ordering.<br/>The waffle cones were very thin compared to the Quay St store, both of our cones actually broke mid-icecream.<br/>Coffee was fine.

Beautiful absolutely splendid ice creams with a variety of flavours to choose from. I like the one in the city near the quay more because of the setting. The cone is an absolute addition to the Ice Cream.

I really like their ice cream especially in summer. Some of their flavors are a little sweet for me, i love their maple walnut in a waffle cone. Their waffle cones are on point - never stale. Service is not bad. Price is up their for desserts but they are not stingy on scoops. Nice on a hot summer day.

One of my favorite place sience i came in this country like its been 10 yrs n i go tgere regularly but shame the way they have overpriced there product ...its ridiculous i mean i would love to go there one in a week but i cant sorrry
