Great coffee.. I love the place so much. So convenient. The places also located in strategic place. Great coffee with sugar available on the table. The waitress is so kind. The price is affordable. Pleasant experience.

The biggest Columbus Coffee outlet I have ever seen in Auckland. Has plenty of indoor and outdoor place and is mostly busy. Have so many options for breakfast and lunch or even brunch. Great place for office meeting or group lunch and a casual catch up.

Enjoy this cafe especially in this area. Love the environment, businessman, students,housewives...... Wonderful coffee and yummy food.

Wow! Coffee is good: especially the flat white & Mocha. Always love the friendly staff. Thank you Max & friends. Appreciate the care & kindness. As you can tell, we loved the food. Group of 10 had a beautiful breakfast today.

Good place for a casual coffee or breakfast. lots of seating. Friendly staff. Caffeine & classics takes place last sunday every month in car park near them. They cope well with the large crowds who come in.

Nice food, came for brunch with the family. Wait times aren't as long as other places. Wouldn't recommend the ice chocolate though but other than that, the table of 8 had 0 complaints.

A large coffee shop and eatery offering a wide range of food options. The staff is good and efficient. The place can be busy in lunch hours and queues can be there. Food and beverage quality is good. Outdoor seating is available too. Parking can be an issue since it is limited in numbers. Overall a good one.

This is a great cafe with excellent food and service - a convenient meeting place for friends and colleagues. However, I won't be meeting there again due to several parking tickets. Don't take more than 90 minutes to confer with your colleagues - the parking attendant is very zealous!

Frappe was delicious and the food was good and quick to come out.

Not bad. Don't like how the food in the cabinet is not priced. Its like you can afford to come here, we don't need to tell you what it costs.

Great coffeehouse, they have lots of seating inside and outside the venue. Big variety of coffee's, iced products etc. They have a very big selection of eats and you can order food to eat on the premises. Very friendly staff and extremely helpful. We go there often and will definitely recommend it to future customers

Good food selection. Indoor or outdoor seating and free parking (get a ticket from the counter if you need more than 1 hour). They do combo deals which are great value and the coffee is always great.

Lovely atmosphere and a great range of options

Waited 40 minutes, the food all came out at different times and the eggs bene was gross, was small, not enough sauce, bread was rock hard and just all round gross! $20 is also very expensive for an eggs benny. Will not come back

This was one of the go-to areas before class and during lunch when I was in high school. It really hasn’t changed much to be honest! It’s a nice place to have a coffee and have a bowl of chips to share with some friends. <br/>The food quality isn’t super amazing, and it’s pretty standard for what it is, but it’s a popular spot for a lot of people working around in the Smales farm area especially before work coffee runs and for lunch!

Nice cafe but badly let down by the standard of coffee.  Time to employ professional baristas. Service OK, but horrified to find that dogs are allowed inside!  I have been assured this is legal but definitely not a good look!!!

Nice setting of a restaurant, food was just okay and slow service. Tried their Egg and bacon quiche and Margot salami. Some parts of the quiche was soggy including the tomatoes so not sure if it was overheated in the microwave. Not rushing to go back in this branch.

Perfect place to grab lunch and catch up with friends.<br/><br/>A bowl of chips and hot chocolate is a favourite for me and my friends. I can't comment on the other foods and drinks available, but the fact chips and hot chocolate is ordered everytime for us, obviously implies they taste amazing (literally best chips ever) and is a must try!<br/><br/>Service is average and seating inside and outside is alright. Overall, Columbus Coffee at Smales Farm is good.<br/><br/>Recommendations: Sharing a bowl of chips between 3-4 people for lunch is awesome.

The coffee and food very average. Mostly going there because there are only few options in the smales farm. Tried their savory muffin and there were not much in it.

I love Columbus Coffee cafe. They have good menu, coffee is ok but this particular one in Shore city Takapuna, I am not going there again. I have visited this cafe for over 10-15 times now but the staff here is too rude especially the guy. Not just rude to the customer but to the other staff as well. The other day, I forgot to mention soy milk for the coffee when I ordered and few seconds later I realised and asked them if they can change it to soy milk. They guy was so rude, he literally said "what will I do with this milk now", I was like I can pay you again but I want soy milk. He just started blabbering that you have wasted milk, I have already made this. I insisted that I can pay but I need soy milk. Eventually they charged me extra but the guy banged and trashed the milk mug into the sink in full disgrace and anger.

Coffee is very average and not worth it. Service is very bad,staffs are rude,unfriendly and no value to customer.Overall bad experience,stop going there even though they are the only cafe available near to my workplace.

It really is pricey and definitely a bit much in my opinion! The location is nice and the set up as well! Me and a group of friends used to split to get the large fries every Friday and it was well worth it!

(Columbus-Smales Farm) I went to buy some savouries to take away for our office's morning tea this morning 13th July 2017 and I bought worth $46.  I wanted to have the savouries in a box for nice office presentation but the staff simply didn't communicate to each other and one staff just put the food/s in smalls paper bag/ plastic take away, like average bakery style. The Staff don't smile, have difficulty hearing customers. The Cashier is so unfriendly (8am).

Unfortunately they don't have any competition at Smales Farm for coffee... Staff here are so unfriendly and grumpy ALWAYS. I work close by so easiest option for a coffee. Cabinet food is overpriced for what it's worth.

Horrible bitter and watery coffee. The food is average at best and it's very over priced. I can't stand the service here either. Rude, unfriendly, zero enthusiasm!

Columbus Coffee is your typical cafe with coffee, cabinet and menu items available.<br/><br/>Previously, I've been to Columbus Coffee in the morning for brunch. Overall the experience was pleasant, the food good, and the coffee what I wanted. The food was warm, not hot, when served, and the coffee a little on the overdone side. <br/><br/>During my latest visit, I had brunch and ordered a cappuccino and Paleo breakfast. The coffee was good, and the meal acceptable. Again, the food was a little on the cold side and undercooked, but not too bad<br/><br/>I would recommend Columbus Coffee for a coffee to friends, family, and followers, but would need to have a few more meals there before recommending the food.

I've never had a good coffee EVER at Columbus and when I did offer to give their boss feedback - he wasn't interested - even though I made the effort to give itf.....

This place is always super busy in the morning but the coffee seems to be a bit average. There's a good range of cabinet foods and this is probably the best place to eat in the smales farm shops!

Unfriendly staff, average coffee but pricey and I saw a lot of unhappy angry customers around. Won't be our breakfast place again. Just not a nice to come coffee

Rude staff, poor service.  My family and I went to have afternoon tea there.  Mum ordered a half-strength latte.  The barista made a full strength one.  When we told the manager about it, the reaction was unfriendly and then the manager accused me of not placing the order clearly.  Excuse me, whether I was clear or not, this was not the first time that Mum asked for a half-strength latte there.  A good manager should understand what their customer needs or what their customer's habit is.  Very reluctantly, the barista made another half-strength latte for my Mum.  However, after all the fuss, the coffee was still bad and ended with a "sour" note.

I go to this coffee store almost everyday religiously and not once have I been offered any sort of rewards card (despite it being displayed on their cash register). I am a student with a bad habit for coffee in the morning and I would like to have a reward every once and a while from buying my $8 iced coffee every morning. I think this has more beneficial factors for them than I, but I don't think that the staff are very interested in providing good service to customers

I only come here now and again with a friend from out of town although I live extremely close but have found the food I order to be OK. Price wise can be expensive.

During lunch hours the cafe becomes quite full and thus slows down the food. Everything is very overpriced except for the hot chips. Only $10 for a large bowl of chips ($6-small) with very tasty seasoning and garlicy aioli. The hot chips are the only thing that has kept me continuing to go to Columbus. The waitress are unfriendly and rude. The drinks are also very overpriced. Just go for the chips!

Not a very good experience. Coffee is not up to standard. No coffee arts.<br/>Hot chocolate and Mocha hardly had chocolate in it so got it exchanged. Expensive.. Better option is coffee next door from subway.

Not the greatest, over staffed with the minority of staff actually helpful or doing anything except standing behind counter. My teacup was so chipped & stained is a health hazard. Extremely Overpriced at $56 for two very average breakfasts, ingredients, preparation & presentation not worth that at all won't be returning,

Went there the place was empty and they didn't even have any menus available, left half way through our coffee, extremely bad customer service from the gentleman at the counter and the blonde waitress that didn't even know what she was doing .

Over the summer I have been lucky enough to have breakfast out at several establishments across the country. Sadly, the worst meal of them all (and the most expensive!) was at Columbus Coffee, Smales Farm. <br/><br/>I ordered the paleo breakfast - without tomatoes please - it arrived with tomatoes, an unripe avocade, rubbery eggs and some dodgy looking brown salmon. Overall it was tasteless and unsatisfying. To top it all off the service was rather rude and the poor waitress appeared very lost, delivering food to the wrong tables.<br/><br/>I hate to be so negative but I was disappointed and surprised that such a nice-looking cafe in a gorgeous area could be so mediocre. <br/><br/>Will not be visiting ever again :(

I have been there many times and have had no problems. I usually go with my ex-neighbour who comes up from Morrisville wen visiting Auckland.

Worst experience at a cafe ever. My friend asked for small portion and was told by the staff that they can give small portion but she would still need to pay for the large portion. <br/>We took our meal or to eat in the tables outside and had a very agitated waitress who proceded to give us a strong telling off, and as we listened in stunned silence she diagnosed us as very rude people. We obediently took our plates back and left feeling like rubbish. <br/>To make things worse the food was as bad as the service.<br/>On returning to the hospital, colleagues told us of similar experiences at Columbus.<br/>Like them we are never going back there.

What can i say.....isnt the customer always right? I asked if i could order a small breakfast normally for a child. I'm not a big eater at all...maybe i would have been better off ordering a side of bacon or a side of egg....either way i felt i was been told off by the guy behind the counter. It put me off returning here again for food! Egg was bland. No seasoning at all.<br/>Update: <br/>This is my closest coffee shop from work so nowhere else to frequent but have to say the coffee is getting worse. Really, don't waste your money,., Go elsewhere. The coffees I have had recently have been undrinkable and promptly poured down the sink at work. The mochas are no where near being a mocha, barely any taste of chocolate,. coffee tastes bitter and burnt. Milk tastes off. I can only say my last ever coffee from there was free because I would be asking for my money back otherwise. Sorry Columbus, I have tried to support local business but no more! I would rather set fire to my money than continue drinking your coffees.

Chips were fantastic, very flavourful and cheap for a big bowl! Lemon pepper made them addicting! Coffees a little over priced and shouldn't have as much ice in it though.

I am not sure if I should feel sorry for Columbus cafe or sorry for wasting my time and money!  This was by far the worst breakfast I ever had!!!!!!  Asked for a eggs benedict and got a big breakfast!  Breakfast had raw mushrooms that was not clean nor fresh!  The food was cold and the hash browns were raw and freezing cold.  We waited for ages and there were no happy faces around!  Columbus takapuna is not geared up for cooking food!

I like this place on a sunny Sunday morning. There are wooden foldback-bifold french doors all the way along, letting the sun flood in.<br/>The morning-sun end of this huge place is set a good 10 metres back from the traffic, so on a Sunday morning, it just makes for a bit of pleasant 'watching the world go by'.<br/><br/>My smoked salmon magro (was it called a 'magro'?) was very yummy. An inch and a half wide, and not quite a foot long, it was spread with subtle amounts of cream cheese - perfect, and dotted with the odd caper inside.<br/><br/>I saw a couple of cheery staff members offering great customer service to the couple in front of me (free coffee cards, as something had gone wrong), and I was impressed! But then a different young lady who served me was quite abrupt in her manner when I suddenly changed my order from take-out to eat in (they hadn't bagged it yet, it was still heating). That young lady just needs to get some candyfloss into her smile ;)

Best soy flat whites &amp; soy mocha's ever , their coffee is always consistently good. For amazing coffee check this place out, ask for Paige as she is the best by far in Auckland. I also noticed they have alot of gluten free product available onsite. A+ team.

Caramel Latte is expensive and tastes burnt most of the time, only on odd occassions that I would get a good coffee, will not go back again. Also bought roasted veg dish once, the dish looks great but once you start eating, it tastes like its left overs from the day before doe snot taste fresh

Ordered three breakfasts with coffee, food nothing special coffee was drinkable wouldn't return over priced

Love this Columbus.<br/>Always find staff are helpful and the place is clean.<br/>I hate dirty tables when it's quiet and they should have been cleared.<br/>Coffee is always consistently delish.

It's a little bit of a mixed bag. Sometimes I've had really great service here but at other times the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there and were unfriendly. <br/>Coffee is consistent and good, food a bit over priced I felt but they have a good selection and it is what it is.<br/>I'll keep going here because it is convenient and an attractive space.

We went here the other day for lunch, using a voucher. Staff were friendly, the place was tidy, and had a nice atmosphere. Between our table, we ordered coffee, a caesar salad, french toast, corn fritters and a BLAT, along with the side of fries. The coffee was promptly served, and was done perfectly. The food was very tasty, although the french toast could have been a bit bigger, along with the salad, so it was a good thing we ordered the fries. I hope they didn't give smaller portions because we were using the vouchers... All in all, I would come back here. Good coffee, good food, good service.

I usually get a frappe as they don't make it overly sweet, and is reasonably priced. I can't comment on the food as I haven't tried it, but always looks fresh in the display near counter. Nice atmosphere, and plenty of seating available.

We stopped here for lunch today and we were in a rush. The staff were accommodating and when we said we were in a hurry pulled out all the stops. I ordered the lunch special, and my colleague had a Chicken Panini with Salad. The coffee arrived as we sat down and the food followed soon after.We will definitely return.

Went to Columbus Coffee at Smales Farm this morning and I will definitely be going back. Great service,food and coffee. I had the Big breakfast and a latte just perfect. Ample portions and the coffee was delivered to the table promptly. A great way to start my working week. Keep up the great work.

Been to this Columbus cafe twice in recent months, a good friend has an office at Smales Farm.<br/><br/>First of all the location is great, lots of space, indoor and outdoor seating with lots of natural sunlight, good quality design and furniture, creating a happy, comfortable space.<br/><br/>Lots of selection, I opted for a bowl of pea and ham soup with hot buttered toast $8.50 and certainly lovely and plentiful enough for my lunch.<br/><br/>You might expect the coffee to be good from a cafe that has its own blend and it was. Recommended for anyone that like a decent cup of coffee and fresh food quickly prepared - Great place for those who work or live close by.

Seriously over priced. The waiting staff vary in their surliness. The food is average (certainly for the price) and they are only busy because the people that work at Smales Farm have nowhere else to go. I’m sorry you do so well because you don’t deserve to.
