I recently dined at this steakhouse and ordered the T-bone steak with mashed potatoes and a Greek salad. The ambiance of the place was really inviting, with pleasant decor that added to the overall good vibes. Since it wasn't too busy, the service was quick, and the food arrived promptly. They offer a nice selection of both local and traditional beers. While I wouldn't say the steak was the best I've ever had, it was certainly cooked well and was very tasty. The staff were friendly and exhibited great courtesy. The total bill, including two beers, came to 92 NZD. A satisfying experience overall!
Delicious! This place lives up to it's name. I only got a photo of the Greek Salad I ordered but that steak was AMAZING! Service was friendly and fast. We really enjoyed eating here. It is a bit pricey but fair enough.
Stopped here on the way to visit Mount Ruapehu, which you get a wonderful view of over Lake Taupo.
The service was excellent, and the restaurant has a lovely interior. Fries were superb. Overall a spectacular experience.
Steak house taupo never disappoints it’s my favourite restaurant to dine with friends also family dinners with children,celebrations and more.. prices are reflected in the quality produce and high standards the service is outstanding the presentation of the premises is cosy formal it has a lot of different vibes going on including a lovely garden like dine area or there’s also the fire place they have a child’s menu although my kids often pick from the main menu I would highly recommend this restaurant over any others in taupo
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The Food was incredible. Worth every cent. The service was on point and the atmosphere is beautiful. If you are visiting Taupo and wanting a steak meal, this is your place. Added bonus is their cocktails are Delicious too.
The food overall was pretty good. The steaks were cooked a little unevenly, but were overall pretty good. The sauce they came with was pretty tasty, i don’t recommend getting the $5 steak topper. If you go with a group and really want a particular steak sauce, I’d recommend buying one to share as the servings were pretty big, enough for 2-3 people easily. The broccolini tasted a bit like farts but the sauce saved it. The chicken in the caesar salad was a bit overcooked, and its a shame you have to pay extra for it. This place is pretty pricey for the amount of food you get, but overall quality was good and we did eat everything. I wouldn’t say any of the food was mind-blowing if thats what you’re looking for, but it was still pretty tasty. The service was good and our waitress was really nice.
The food was soooo yum! I got the eye fillet steak wrapped in bacon. It was cooked perfectly. I also got the tipsy barbie cocktail and that was also delicious! Great service too!

Walked in no reservation served and seated straight away. Awesome place to dine food was superb 👌 on the high side but worth it definitely.. service was amazing highly recommended
We had Scotch fillet steak and another one with bone marrow, it was really nice but there was no veges with the steak. We did order some entrees and other sides. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant.
The place has a very warm and cozy atmosphere. Our serveuse and the staff we interacted with were all very kind and friendly. I can't recommend the duck enough, it was perfectly cooked and juicy. My partner's eye fillet steak was also cooked just right and delicious. We also had the garlic bread and deep fried brie as starters and the cheesecake for dessert. Everything was great. We loved it.
The only downside was that we couldn't tip as we were paying by card and didn't carry cash with us :(
