Great ice cream, tub filled to the brim with no extra cost. They don't charge you 2 dollars extra for "premium ice-cream". The flavours are so good especially coconut and cinnamon. They fill your tub right to the brim not just a scoop it's a spatula pressed into your tub. A wide range of flavours and nice seating inside and out for you to sit. Reasonable price and size for what you pay for. 10/10 would recommend!
This is hands down the best ice cream shop in town! The ice cream is made with high-quality ingredients and is always fresh and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty treat!

This place is awesome. We went in at the end of the day and the server was nice and friendly and took time to organize our take home pack. Only issue - too many flavours to choose from!!
I’m picky about gelato, and Lunas’s is delicious! We had two scoops in cups: coconut and cafe latte, chocolate and chocolate mint, and all for flavors were terrific. We sat in armchairs just outside while we ate, watching a gorgeous sunset over Lake Taupo.

Nice ice cream in Taupo, I had apple cinnamon yogurt and chocolate flavor, real cinnamon inside,it's so yummy, highly recommended!
We came by before driving back to Auckland as dessert. Although it was winter, it was still a nice enough day to come by and pick up some treats. They have a fairly large selection of ice creams with interesting flavours. They also have chocolates for sale too. I had a double scoop with speculoos and mango. both were tasty and quite different. Surprisingly, the mango had bits of mango in it too so there was a little textural difference. Quite a nice treat before being in a car for another four hours.
This place is fire! They served us quickly even though they were closing which was really kind of them. That maple and walnut gelato was the greatest flavour of gelato i have consumed in a while. 10/10 recommend
So many delicious gelato & sorbet to choose from. It's seriously difficult to decide, but coconut & peanut butter chocolate chip were amazing. Will definitely go back when next in Taupo!
