Like craft beer and visiting Tauranga. Get here quick smart. Great range of beers including locals and kiwi brewers. Food menu is perhaps limited in choice but more than made up for in quality and awesome staff.
Here's the bonus: the best hot sauce collection I have found in any bar. Forget Tobasco or Cholula. This is the hard core stuff from Fire Dragon and Culleys. Woo hoo!
I was thoroughly impressed. Wide selection of drinks, all blended perfectly and presented well. Numerous dishes, all well paired and with decent portion sizes. My lamb shank was sublime - we had steak, fish, loaded fries and every dish was worth its own review. The jalapeno poppers were paired with a strong cheese to balance the spiciness, giving me the impression that the chef really considered every aspect of every dish.
NOTE the coffee stout won't be everyone's cup of tea, but the waittress took pains to point this out so full marks on service and honesty.
Particularly loved the service offered by the barmen! They were so attentive and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and will have to come back for a taster of all these amazing gins on the shelf. Thank you for looking after us, guys.

Very good service, food and drinks. Many locally made ciders and craft beer. Great spot on a Sundy afternoon, though a little expensive. 2 pints of cider and a bowl of chips for $37.
Quaint place, located in the heart of Tauranga. Lots of good beer and great deals every day. Good food. Good service. Friendly and helpful wait staff. Enjoyed myself here. Would highly recommend to tourists and travelers and even locals for a thoroughly enjoyable evening out.

Ended up there Saturday night after a roady from Auckland for a short trip away.
Great bar for a good priced meal, combined with good Live music and friendly staff. The Gluten-free options are good aswell and they have an great selection of everything really, Gin, wine, beer and other spirits. Worth giving them a go. Great value for money.
