After almost accepting the fact that there were no good Indian restaurants in Tauranga, this was definitely a welcome surprise. The service was a bit average and the food took quite a while, but it was so worth the wait!
The curry is goooooood people. The portions are super generous and the staff is friendly. What a lovely evening out.

Great local Indian, good spices, great flavours, we ordered one dairy free curry and it was no problem, they also do Halal and Gluten free. Thoroughly enjoyed and definitely thought it was worth more than the 3.2 average rating it had before we visited. Will definitely go again.
Really good! We had the Saag Aloo and Chicken Korma. Both tasted freshly made, with really nice spices and flavours. Was made quickly and staff were friendly. Thank you!
Surprised? The last reviews are wrong. The food was very tasty and just what we would expect from an authentic Indian Cuisine. They were very busy with Take Aways but we didn't suffer in the main restaurant. THE service whilst a little slow was adequate. However they did miss a dessert order by their slowness. WE eat this type of food throughout the country and will eat here again no issue.
Great place. It's our go to takeaway. Happy to change things if you ask and food is delicious. The addition of free papadums is appreciated.
Love this restaurant! The food is always delicious, service is great, and atmosphere is lovely too. We often get delivery, which is so handy and makes it very tempting to get our favourite Indian food every week!
Staff here were amazing, asked for extra sides (not sire what they're called) and were given quite a few. Also when we accidently pulled the table cloth off which resulted in our glass of water flying away and breaking all over the floor, they were still 100% professional about it. Absolutely fantastic service.
The food was quite nice and reasonably priced, as well as the beers. Will definitely recommend this place to others and head there again next time I'm in Tauranga!
The food here is absolutely divine. All of our meals were great. Poppadums arrived first, then our drinks, and then our meals with our naan bread. Our meals were a little slow coming out but were very yummy. Got the lunch special, which is such good value. Would really recommend this place for great Indian food.

went to Mumbai Masala with my friends. We ask if they have anything special thats out the menu and they recommended “chicken sadeko” which was really great. It goes really good with beers. for the mains we chose chicken tikka masala and lamb pasanda and it was the best. and the service was really good. definetly recommend to you all.
We were lucky to visit Papamoa and dine in this newly renovated restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was the best I have ever tasted, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of heat and spice. Lovely atmosphere with gorgeous pictures on the walls. Highly recommend you come here and bring your friends! Excellent prices.

The food here was crazy delicious and the atmosphere felt real cosy - as was my first time here in Tauranga.
The staff give off a family friendly vibe and me and my family were welcomed right as we walked in the door.
Honestly, I usually just order butter chicken from indian restaurants but I left here trying 5 other items on the menu and it was worth it 🔥

The moment we entered the building I could already tell that we were going to have a great time. About a minute after we sat down the waiter came to take our order he was extremely polite and gave us a lot of help. The food was amazing and by the time we were leaving we had smiles on our faces this is the most fond I have ever been of a restraunt and hope we will be able to come again. Had a beautiful dinner here tonight. The garlic cheese naan was the best I’ve ever had. Our chicken mains were beautiful. The chicken was super tender and moist. The service was very polite and efficient. Would definitely go again. Thank you Mumbai Masala for a beautiful meal.
This is by far the best Indian cuisine I have ever had. The food is delicious each time I have eaten here. You will not be disappointed. Love it.
