Stopped in for a quick pint and a snack and was not disappointed.
The have some good local made beers on tap, plus some good craft options in cans from other breweries.
We shared a loaf of bread and cheese rolls and what seems such simple food, was absolutely delicious and for the aesthetic of the place so well.
Very relaxed, good music choice and volume and overall super enjoyable.
Cozy bar, nice atmosphere, delicious food and great selection of cocktails. Lemon meringue cocktail is my new favourite :)

Quiet, cool atmosphere with perfect back ground music after a big day.

Don’t let this little bar attached to a cinema in a small mountain town fool you- the food and cocktails absolutely will EXCEED any/all expectations you may or may not have. The staff are quick as a whip and offer divine recommendations. It was a fine dining/cinema experience in a cozy corner tucked in beautiful Te Anau.
Dropped in for a quick drink before dinner. We ordered a Panhead Rat Rod Hazy IPA $10 and a lemon meringue cocktail for $18. Prices are reasonable and cocktail was great.
This is a cool place!! They have there own great beer on tap, a cinema attached, a great little patio to enjoy, and it has a fireplace on the deck at night to still enjoy the outside. The staff was cracking jokes and funny and it really wasn’t overpriced. I can’t think of a better stop for the evening in this town. I highly recommend it!!

I just ordered the jalapeño poppers. Tasted fantastic. Quick and polite service. Going to come here again just for the poppers when I'm in te anau next
We dropped by Black Dog Bar on Tue, 7 Mar and enjoyed our experience so much that we went back again this evening!
They have a wide selection of drinks, spirits and wine - and even introduced us to a new martini, Lillet!
Kudos to Andrew and Rashel for their friendliness, genuine warmth and tip top service. Bravo!!!
