I just ordered our first home delivered food by Red Kitchens - Dinners by HQ. Absolutely the best meal I’ve had. We had organic meatloaf with broccoli & bacon salad. My young kids absolutely loved it. Had seconds and scrapped the plate clean, as did I! It was so easy to order online and delivered to my door. I wish it was more than once a week! The kids can’t wait for our next meal!! Thanks so much!! I love it when the kids love tasty healthy food too!
Popped in for a bit of breakfast when the heavens suddenly opened...had coffee, eggs benny, gingerbread man and a pinny wheel...obviously was with my son haha.. was amazing and staff are super friendly too.
Good coffees and love the food here. Chicken and mushroom pie best I've had! Sad that service is pretty slow.
Have been to the Red Kitchen a few times, unfortunately they don't open Sunday which is when we normally go out for lunch. Food has always been good, prices reasonable and service good if not exceptional
Red Kitchen is my favorite local cafe. The food is always really good and the staff are lovely. The Salmon take home dinner is a divine! I would definitely recommend checking out the cook school too, i did the Italian evening with Megan and it was delicious and we all learnt something new.
This place is OK, I've been a couple times now, the food is lovely and the staff are nice, tho maybe a little pricey for the portion sizes

Excellent experience. Was Friday, 2pm or so. The staff were immediately attentive, the food looked great and tasted even better. I'm a basic Man, so I went for a Steak and caramelized onion pie. WOW was that a pie. I've never had one like it. It truly was a meal unto itself. Also had a caramel chocolate slice which had a very generous layer of caramel. We waited outside for our take away order, and went back in briefly to get some napkins and were again greeted with a smile and "can I be of help?" from the nice girl that first served us. Was just so nice, such a positive attitude and ambiance. Definitely recommend and will be back.
Wow what a wonderful cafe. So hard to choose from the menu and cabinets. Delicious and well presented, totally understand why it is a favourite with the locals. Visited today, and I believe that the cafe and store has become better since my last visit.
Great service and great company. Only had a long black, prefer mocha with marshmallows in a takeaway cup, they don't do marshmallows but that's just "my" personal preference 😅
RedKitchen cafe has been a staple of Te Awamutu for many years. I used to consider it to be too expensive for my price range, but with rises price everywhere RedKitchen seems to be a comparatively more affordable cafe out of the Te Awamutu options. The savoury scones never fail to impress, nor does the oat caramel slice. They have a wide range of milk options and for my iced latte girlies they have short or tall options (so if you like less milk and a stronger taste with each sip the short option is ideal). Sit outside on a sunny day and soak in the quiet lull of a growing New Zealand small town
Called in for a breakfast of scrambled eggs and as the saying goes we first eat with our eyes and these eggs did not disappoint! They tasted as good as they looked. Coffee more than satisfied the first coffee of the morning craving. Next time I am in town I will be back for more.
Red Kitchen always delivers, tasty, fresh food and great coffee. We dripped in for breakfast and despite being packed we got food and coffee in a reasonable time and our food was delicious!
The only café I visit when I'm in Te Awamutu. I love all of their food therefore always go with an apetite. There is a group of shops within the building, kitchenware and a butcher. Each shop is amazing. Great experience
I just enjoyed one of the best cafe meals that I have had in along time. The food was faultless and delicious. Amazing.
