We came. We ordered. We ate. We left smiling. Pies were oh-so-nice!!! Simple setup but does what it needs to do. Affordable IMO and the size of the pies were good for a starter meal. We had the steak + bacon as well as the steak + cheese. The choco cream was also hubba hubba good as! Manly long type of donut texture bread. 😍 We likey likey.

Yea pies were OK. Wouldn't say its the best I've had. Had the chicken and a sausage roll. Pastry wasn't flaky flaky and the chicken filling is more starch like (I. E flour and water) than cream based. Best pie I've had so far is from buzz stop in Queenstown. Definitely still should try and make your own judgment, but wouldn't know why someone would be giving out awards and such for it.

Bought a few boxes of cold seconds pies from the freezer. Excellent taste 👌, love the pastry. Used to be called Kai Whakapai when I lived in Wanaka in the 1990's. But different Era, different owners. Still great food and that's what counts..

Excellent pies. Great flaky pastry, tasty saucy filling, the right temperature and easily eaten by hand. We had one each and then split another one. Had the goat peri peri (not spicy), chicken leek and bacon, and lamb and mint.
