I love that I have so many options here, and the salads are great but I don't love the prices. I'd eat here more often it was more reasonable. For now it will have to remain an occasional lunch option.
Had such an amazing experience here. Such fresh and healthy food, with options that suit many dietary requirements. Would definitely come again!

Carpe Diem. Seize the day. Or at least seize a bite to eat from Seize.
I frequent this wee gem because I can eat 90% of the menu. I'm gluten free and vegetarian so going to Seize is like going to healthy paradise for me.
The place is minimalist. A few tables, a big massive table, a cabinet with salads, another with sweet treats and that's it. But I don't go for the atmosphere here.
The food is outstanding. My go to is the Vegan Bene. Yep... let's take all the good things about an Eggs Bene, deconstruct it, make it vege friendly and then construct it. With tofu. I kid you not, try it.
The sweets treats are awesome. They look like all sweet things should... deliciously evil. But they're as healthy as you will get for what they are. My favs always change because everything is good, but the snickers inspired slice is masterclass.
And of course, what would one of my reviews be without a mention of coffee. They use Flight coffee which is becoming a staple here in Welly. I love the nutty flavours, depth of colour and smell each cup brings. Wonder if I could get an IV line next time.
This place won't be for everyone but if you're slightly adventurous or health conscious, give it a try. You shouldn't be disappointed.
Great cafe focused around healthy food. Tried vegan benny and it is mind blowing. The taste is incredible. There are variety of smoothies and other cool things also. Highly recommend.

Love that seize has many vegan and gluten free options as there aren’t many dedicated solely to this in the CBD. Smoothie bowl was delicious, waffles were good but a little soggy/dense in the middle. Overall, delicious food (even if a little pricey) and would go again.
Awesome experience at Seize! If you're looking for a healthy and filling breakfast or brunch this is a great place to go! Doesn't leave you feeling overly full, but energised and ready today's the day!
I ordered a very nice lunch here, vegan summer. A 'poached egg' made from coconut and pumpkin, such a nice surprise. Definitely worth a visit when in town. It's not a vegetarian place but they cater for vegans very well so it's a great place for people wanting healthy alternatives not necessarily vegan only.
My health conscious daughter and fellow foodie was eager to show me one of her favorite haunts, and I can see why: fresh creative salad based to make up salad bowls with whatever options you fancy; healthy, yet tasty treats to satisfy your sweet tooth; wholesome smoothies and much more to cater for almost everyone. Friendly service, great decor (I love their wall menu), and lots of people watching space! My smoothie could have been colder, and the Snickers Slice sweeter, but that's just me. A must visit when in the capital!
Staff are genuinely friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. Yep young and fashionble and so what? I am oldish and unfashionable and I like going there. Coffees really good compared to many and as for price.....I do not see it any different to others and if you take the whole quality package including outstanding well prepared and balanced tastes, well for me this is good value and not dearer than anywhere else in Wellington.
I fully recommend you ignore those looking for philosophy and enjoy great food with or without animal products......I have had both for breakfast and highly recommend both....mmmm
A decent, healthy meal of a delicious selection of fruits for my smoothie bowl and my friend's Apple crumble waffle to start the day. Pretty pricey but would come back to try the cakes.
Couldn’t be more satisfied with my smashed avo and dukkah on gf toast. Super fresh and a very generous serving . The fresh squeezed apple, orange and lemon juice was also delicious. Thank you!

My only problem is they always sell out of salad before lunch is over and they turn off the coffee machine a bit too early.
Also, I wish they had another cafe down the other end of the city.
Lots of gluten free options! Nice to have such a range of options.
However I’m assuming the management has changed since early reviews on this profile. A lot of old reviews and food don’t match the experience nowadays. But they do still offer a range of GF things so it’s a good option for those with allergies.

Small and nice cafe with friendly staff working there. Even in the morning it's packed with people having mornibg coffee and breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere and their service and I think I will visit there again when given chances. Super nice.
Yum, yum, Seize, superbly placed across the road from Les Mills Lambton Quay, is a brilliant health-savvy treat. Superb menu that's been cleverly thought out to ensure the uninitiated aren't intimidated, but that healthier are properly catered to.
Tumeric waffles and vegan summer are stand out options. The cabinet treats and select your own salads are sure to make for the perfect choice for someone. If only passing through, grab a smoothie that will make all your insides feel good.
Go here to enjoy easy, healthy and delicious options without and of the pretense and enjoy a good slice after a filling brunch.
Worth the slightly higher price and wait in line - Seize is a delicious and healthy option for breakfast, lunch or snack. Serves Flight coffee (at a cheaper price if you don't need a takeaway cup) and plenty of smoothie choices.
Amazing vegan and non-vegan food beautifully served. Heap of tasty raw treats too. Highly recommend the bene and snickers slice
A quality alternative food cafe compared to most city cafes. The barista coffee ☕️ and tea selection 🍵 are excellent. The vegetarian options are broad and made to a high standard. Portions are large and presented in the correct plates and bowls 🥣 👌 Keen to eat here again in the near future!
