The service is beyond great - such friendly people! And the food...what more can I say - their steak sandwich with side of handcut fries 🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒
I want to say a massive thank you to all the staff and a big well done! The evening was amazing and everyone had a great time. With live music, yummy food and great service we will definitely be back. Thank you again for looking after us so well!
This place is just opposite my hotel and after visiting the beehive came here to charge my phone and had some refreshments too, not alot here as it is more of a kiosk with a nice open dining area opposite, where we sat down in the corner under the tele to charge up and take time out. handy too for Wellington commuters too.
I have to travel to Wellington fairly often for work and found this to be a nice, handy pub in the train station, with great grub, a nice wine selection and lovely staff. I couldn't help but notice the phone charging station in the corner by the TV. These are so common in the UK and the US, but they are hard to find in New Zealand, so that was a wonderful bonus for someone like me who needs to use their mobile a lot for work. Will definitely be back!

Good food, good atmosphere, good space, nice staff.
Getting off the train to start your day can be brightened up by popping in here for a quick hot drink or a bit of hearty food. Large space so you can enjoy as a group or just chill on your own and watch some sport on the screens dotted about - sound can be a bit of a problem with lag from one getting quite annoying.
Or just grab a literal bowl of hot chocolate and wait for your delayed train to sort itself out, and if it doesn’t, the bar is large and welcoming 👍🏽
Cheap eats on menu, but very basic, toasted bread not buttered but comes with butter 🧈 on a $10 breakfast, including 2 poached eggs. Venue is cold and parts of it have a breeze flowing through on a cold Southerly or Northerly day. Customer service has improved hugely with smiling and helpful front of house team. The filtered coffee is better than on Air New Zealand, which is a bonus.
Always a good extra hot coffee, as requested, and today's really nice offer was to heat the date scone in the sandwich press.
I've been coming here for my coffees the past few months! Highly recommend, the service is amazing, very quick and they are consistent, my second visit and they remembered my order! Bonus that the coffee sizing is generous and affordable. Keep up the fab work!
The staff were so brilliant: it was really busy pre FIFA game and they were all very cheerful, efficient and upbeat. Lovely people.

March2021: Fun bar, busy, at the train station.. Last stop before the train, or up to the CakeTin for any function.. Mine was a rugby game. Big variety of cliental passed through while I was there. A Stag party, the oppositions fans, families.
