So are the their delicious steak egg and mushroom burgers!!
They lady shop assistant is always friendly and chirpy!!
The premises are always tidy and clean.
Best fish and chip shop in Wellington for sure!!

Great fish and chips! Can sometimes take a while to make the order because they're busy. They have a great selection, including vege options!

Great mix of takeaways from this place. The cheeseburgers are fantastic and several chinese dishes we have tried have been fairly good. Will be back again. As mentioned, the owners are lovely too.

Stopped in for a few scoops of chips and a combination fried rice. No gluten free options on the deep fried menu but not many fish and chips shops do a gluten free piece of fish.... shame because the fish looked amazing!! Generous portions too. Fried rice was good, generous amounts of meat too. Chips were fresh hot n crispy... couldnt ask for better.

The best fish and chips in Wellington! Crumbed fish fillets and chips are always a hit! Burgers are also very generous and tasty. Prices very reasonable. Service is friendly - an added bonus!

Have taken many visiting friends and relatives and all have been super impressed. It does not look much from outside but do not be put off...the food is great and you will not be disappointed!

Not usually a reviewer but this place deserves it! I've been going for over 10 years and even though I long since moved away from Newtown I still won't get fish and chips anywhere else. The loveliest lady behind the counter who always remembers my order even though sometimes it's been years since my last visit. Always perfectly crispy fresh fish, and huge fillets! Best chippy in Wellington hands down

Lovely food at great prices but only complaint was it took just over 30 minutes when they were not extremely busy. Very friendly just frustrating om the wait.

I love the fried hot dogs, the service is also lovely, a timid woman who takes her time making the food, it never turns out greasy or oversalted. Just perfect. I love Rainbow Fish And Chips! Super cheap and affordable too!

Yummy fish n chips, generous amount of fish and salad is a nice addition to the combination. Staff is very friendly and helpful.. best fish and chips found so far near Newtown and Berhampore

Upon entering the shop I was greeted by a nice old man, the vibe of the store was very cozy. Fish is amazing and great priced although the batter was a little too salty and it was quite greasy. 9/10.

This fish shop does good selection of Chinese meals for $12.50. Crumbed fish for $4.10 and it's warehou fish which is meaty and has taste to it. Not like the terrible fish n chip shop in the suburb of Northland. Very hard to find good priced and good quality fish shop in Wellington City. They all seem to want to rip you off. This fish shop is now on my "preferred" list. Go here if you can't be bothered cooking and you want a reasonable priced feed.

Nice yummy fish 'n chip served here. Always great value. Crumbed fish are nice big pieces. The Chinese lady-owner is always nice and friendly and chatty!! That's why their customers always come back for more!!
