We ordered the chef favorite 9 courses. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was really prompt. One of us was pescaterian, she got a great variety of options too. The only reason why atmosphere comes with 4 star is that the restaurant is quite loud.
Doesn't let me give a 4.5 unfortunately. Service outstanding (all waitresses were super friendly and attentive). Food is absolutely delicious, very creative and full of unique flavours. Downsides - it was very noisy, some dishes were barely warm, and it is rather expensive (was $200 for the two of us including 1 drink each) especially considering we both left still hungry.. Would still recommend people try it as the food is something you won't find anywhere else.
We had the "just feed me" set menu and every dish was a hit. We wanted to order double! We especially loved the beef donuts, venison pies, and the oysters. The staff were kind and knowledgeable. Definitely a must-eat when in Wellington.
Second time I've been here, first time was in May for my birthday, and we had to come back a second time for x-mas. Nailed it both times, I have a mix of photos from first time and this time (I'm terrible when it comes to taking photos). Food is exceptional, we had to order 2 portions of the eggplant this time around, its that exceptional. Everything is well seasoned, balanced and cooked perfectly, just to touch on the eggplant (obviously my favorite) the flesh inside is still firm but soft, most places I've been either overcook or undercook the eggplant. Service has been great both times, they even allowed us to store a cake which was being taken down to Christchurch while we had our dinner. Very accommodating! Will be back again.
Wow. Each dish was bloody delicious. Staff were super friendly and attentive too. Highly recommend getting the chef’s selection menu. They even have nice bathrooms!
Had heard many great things about this place, and wasn’t disappointed at all. The staff were friendly and attentive, the decor was inviting and unpretentious and the food was varied and tasty. We chose the chefs menu of nine courses ($75pp), plenty of variation to keep us interested, and the Asian flavours were so good. Definitely worth a visit for the eggplant dish alone.
Absolutely recommend. We had the 9 course chef's tasting menu and were both very impressed, there was not a single let down or weak dish throughout the whole meal. We will return :-)
Outstanding Asian fusion dining experience. Perfect cocktails and delicious fare. From the unique yellow curry beef donut, perfect tempura oyster and melt in your mouth udon Waygu egg silky delight. Wow wow wow. Third time now and never disappoints.
Awesome food! The food we had during this season menu generally have lots of layers of tastes and textures.
Can be ad bit pricy, relatively small portion, but the innovation and tastes the chef got to offer you makes it worth.

Didn't love all dishes, but really did love the eggplant dish so very much, 10/10, amazingly juicy, soft but browning well on the top. Other than the commonly used pumpkin seeds, the crunchy purple rice (I assumed) on top adds so much texture and bites and really pushed the dish to the next level. Great flavorful while not overly salty sauce.
Tofu is great, I've never liked oyster that much but the tempura oyster here is not fishy and very nicely seasoned.
Prefer slow cooked beef/wagyu in chunks instead of slices, personal preference.
Just personal opinion but it would've been great if small serves of rice are available - at least good to have the option there.
Would visit again for the eggplant and oyster.
Amazing delicious food! The Asian flavours in the dishes were on point and paired with the lemongrass soju, it was a great meal! Opening night and the vibe was buzzing and the decor is simply modern and elegant! Congratulations on opening night!
