It’s our regular take out Thai restaurant, the portion is always huge for two persons. They also cater to Asians who love spicy, the spicy level is similar to what you can get in Thailand. It’s usually about 30-50 nzd for two persons if you order 2-3 dishes.
Pretty decent Thai restaurant with a wide range of options, excellent service, and well priced meals. The restaurant is surprisingly empty a lot of the time which is a shame because it's a lovely place for a catch up. The food tastes pretty good and the service is genuine.
Absolutely yum food. I love their garlic rice and it can be just eaten by itself like a rice dish.. they have a good quantity and it's easy to order extra from their side menu and also easy to overeat because the curries are so good. Each thing on menu is nice and distinct. Very good and friendly staff.. I wonder I don't see many people dine there.. but preffer alot of takeaways... for me it's a comfort meal everytime.
The best thai place out there delicious authentic and great food and value for money. Me and my partner go their frequently and we wouldn't go elsewhere! Keep it up
I've been to a few Thai restaurants around auckland and I have to say that Chill Out Mt Albert is still my favourite. I've tried the many dishes from here and my top are the tom yum soup, moo tod (to date my fav dish), penang curry, pad thai ( tofu tastier than the meat options O_o). I have always enjoyed the food. I wouldn't bother with the appetizers however as they didn't quite cut it for me. I enjoy the dine in experience and on those lazy days I get take out, no complains about either. I have on a couple of occasions got food delivered to New Windsor and both times it took almost two hours to get the food. so i don't recommend it. Overall it's my fav Thai place in Auckland.
If you're not that into hot stuff, choose mild. Even medium is too hot for me! My friends who love heat and usually order hot, tried Thai hot here and couldn't handle it. Panang curry with tofu is THE BEST
I like this Thai place as much as Spices Thai. Large servings and wait staff comes along to top up your rice.
The only thing is, the ambience itself is quite dark and white and red though.
Nevertheless, nice place to grab a good hearty meal and not feel worried that it doesn't taste nice. Cause it will! A group of our friends often frequented this place after their sport matches as they have ample group seating options.
Few competition for Thai places around Blockhouse Bay and I have tried this place for the first time. Very authentic and fresh, great selections, very impressed with the price. This place is our favorite now!!! There midium hot is quite spicy as advised by staff. We are very satisfied! Recommended!
Food was great, but the seafood Pad Thai had hardly any seafood?? Apart from that we love Chill Out!! Will definitely be ordering from here again :)

[Pad Kee Mao] Good amount of portion for a person, or maybe up to 2 people if you don't eat much. I choose the Tiny hot (beginner) but the noodle was still, pretty spicy for me. I felt it as more of a Medium spicy. Otherwise it has nice flavor.

Cheap and delicious Thai joint. Their spicy scale is a level above other Thai restaurants so ask for mild if you're not a fan of spicy food.

Best Thai Green Curry in Auckland, super tasty! Get mild for a normal medium on curries, and mild-medium for a medium on noodles.
I have been ordering from this restaurant for almost a decade and have never had a single issue. Food is always great, delivery is always on point, and staff are always friendly.
Really high quality Thai food at a fair price, and a haven for spice lovers like myself. Do not miss out on Chill Out Thai.
I personally recommend the panang curry, and getting the (awesome) garlic rice for every order. Be careful with spice levels though! If it's your first time, go one level lower than usual.
I was very pleased with the food I ordered, the meat was tender, the vegetables were lovely and crunchy, perfectly cooked, delicious meal. Delivered in a lovely environmentally friendly reusable bag...and a frequent order fridge magnet card, which is stamped every time I order...with a free meal as a reward. Absolutely awesome! I love this place.

Favourite Thai takeaways in the area! Good communication, prompt delivery, delicious meals. Boxes are always filled to the brim and never skimp on meat or fresh vegetables. Recently moved slightly away from the area but have kept ordering from here as it's vastly better than any of the options nearer me.
