Toninos is a classic for our family, particularly the blue vein cheese gnocchi. However i think over the years they’ve changed the recipe which is a bit of a bummer but still very delicious. First time trying their pizza and was very very good. Same goes with the presentation and taste of the tiramisu. Cake to cream ratio was a bit off but was amazing regardless.
The staff are the best and their muscles are to die for!!! Will definitely be coming back!!

Delicious and authentic italian cuisine in a gorgeous and cozy setting! Best pasta I've ever had and excellent customer service! We tried the garlic & cheese pizza bread, vegetarian pizza, and pollo pasta (creamy chicken & mushroom) and they were all amazing! The pizza is quite a thick crust and they're very generous with toppings, super tasty. All around fantastic experience, thanks Tonino's!
Tonino’s is a classic mission bay hot spot. Authentic Italian food with lovely staff. The ambience transports you to Italy and makes you want to book tickets to visit again. The picture I’ve included is the final morsels of a truly divine tiramisu that I thoroughly enjoyed. In fact order the tiramisu, it’s unapologetically good. Thank you for having us done with you. We shall return!
Tonino's make great Pizza. I don't care what anyone says, THEY MAKE GREAT PIZZA. I would recommend you order a Carbonara Main and Margarita pizza with a nice glass/bottle of wine. I would post pictures but I don't have any because why make a good thing wait? Maybe next time...

Went to Tonio’s with my grandmother for lunch today, and the food was amazing! She ordered the chicken ravioli and I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and the food was delicious, authentic Italian! The restaurant has an A rating on cleanliness and the owning is a very friendly man! I am definitely coming back for more!
Good food and great service. Today was my third time at the restaurant, the friendly service and the delicious food is still the same. You always find a table even if the restaurant is fully packed. 👍🏻
A really small place, we were a group of 8 so we felt squished abit. We didnt have to wait long for our meals, fault would be that one of ordered drinks had seemed to be forgotten because we had to remind the waitress a few times other than that service was really great and we were looked after well. When the restaurant get packed it gets really hot and stuffy. Food was abit bland and pasta dishes was watery rather than creamy or cheesy. Very over priced for quality I thought but servings were generous as we shared dishes and couldnt finish main size dishes.

Nothing bad to say about the food it was excellent. The olives caught me (and another customer) off guard though as they came still cooked in the pips so watch out for that! Maybe it gives it more saltiness or something idk but it wasn’t a problem.
Only gripe might be the customer service? It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t spectacular either. They seemed a little preoccupied and tired. But it was the end of the day. Honestly I probably caught them on an off day or something.
Would be keen to go back and try out the rest of the menu. Tried some of my wife’s Tortellini and it was tasty too. If you want a safe bet I’d recommend the pizza. My one was nice and crisp whilst also having a decent ratio of bread and toppings. Nothing I hate more than getting a pizza with barely any toppings.

My family and I had lunch at Tonino’s pizzeria and can only rave about the delicious meals, authentic feel and friendly staff. A slice of Italy in the heart of Auckland, we recommend you visit to enjoy your own Italian experience.
First time visiting last night. Small but homely- good for 2 people. Nice service. Decent amount of free on-road parking. Takeaway is cheaper than dining in. We dined in at $33NZD per pizza.
Bought 2. One was DELICIOUS and the other was underwhelming for its price but I wouldn’t rule it out, just try another one. Would go again.
Tucked away in Mission Bay is probably one of the most authentic Italian restaurant you can come across. Great food all round. Highly recommended!
Nice place with good Italian food...pasta is way overcooked and when I asked for the pasta to be al dente I was given a strange look...the fish soup was spot on...nice quaint for a couple to have good evening...they allow you to bring your own bottle of wine, yet you will have to pay for the glass

Tiny space, excellent chef. Very good pizza, garlic prawn, especially tiramisu very special, must try. Definitely will back try others.
