Went for lunch with hubby and son this week and was very impressed by food and service! Lovely friendly staff and lamb jalfrize was best I have had in NZ by far. Fresh ingredients, lots of flavour and amazing value for money with the $10 lunchtime special! No wonder my hubby gets his lunch here most weeks � Just wish we lived closer.

U can never go wrong with Shahi Dawat. Their food is very tasty. They use very flavoursome spices and not the nasty ones that give you heartburn or acidic refluxes. Highly recommended for authentic taste, good hygiene and flavourful food.

Totally worth your money if you are looking for tasty curry! We found this place on accident and I am so glad we did. We now go out of our way to get food here even though its no where near where we live.

I've yet to find a better curry house. The food is amazing and warms every piece of you. The location is okay, interior is nice and staff are friendly, but the real reason to go is the gorgeous food.

Has to be the best butter chicken I have ever had. Love that it's a deep rich colour and full of flavor unlike the bland orangey kinds you tend to find in the mall food courts. Love that I can order it spicy hot as well, the only way I like it. The vege Samosas are also the best I've found. Pastry is nice and light and crispy. We used to be regulars at this restaurant ordering the same two dishes every time, butter chicken and vege samosas, until we moved out of the Peninsula. We miss not being able to have this anymore :(

I've ordered takeaways from here and haven't been let down, dine in experience is just as good. I would highley recommend the Tikka Masala it is really good.

I've been coming here for several years now. I have yet to find an Indian restaurant anywhere that does a prawn malabari anywhere NEAR as good as Shahi does.
By far the best one I've ever eaten at.

Best naan bread!!!! Really enjoy their butter chicken but a little runny with the sauce. Also disappointed that they don’t have a deal for start of the week like most other restaurants. Would be rating this a 5.

We really like this place. Food is very high quality and service was with a smile. They've looked after us well through my partners pregnancy, ensuring the food was ultra safe and also making recommendations. It was very quiet when we went but a lot of locals use this place for takeaway due to food quality.

I eat at Shahi Dawat regularly and they never fail to impress me. The curries, naans, service and speed are always great here. Support local and head to Shahi Dawat, DON'T waste your time going to Shamiana next door it really isn't worth it. They also offer a delivery service with paywave available at your door and are always very friendly.
