I love their filter coffee! The white coffee was also as great as the filter one. Ambience was nice and clean. I loved how the staff were answering all my random questions which might have been bothering! Hahah nice people.

Was said to have the best coffee in Auckland so I came in to try. I was not disappointed.
Also tried their French Toast. It had ham and cheese in it. Perfect combination for toast.
Would visit again for coffee and to try their other cabinet food :)
Beautiful place to drop by drinks and snacks. While it specialises in coffee, Catalyst also offers interesting teas and hot chocolates. All the ingredients are thoughtfully sourced and artfully served.

This coffee shop is hidden behind the main Remuera road - nice quiet spot and ambience.
When we walked in we were greeted by the owners/baristas who were very friendly and helpful.

This is a place to enjoy your coffee. It's the coffee that shines...not the food (but the counter patisseries are excellent!). The two owners (whose names I have forgotten...sorry!!) are champion Baristas and it is a delight to visit here to watch them at work. This was my second visit. I told my 'In laws" and while the art of coffee is not their thing - they loved it. My mother in law tried a special tea that was in stock and she reported how lovely it is. It is worth going out of your way to stop off here. It's a treat.
For the ones who appreciate a good coffee like a fine glass of wine, this is the place for you.
If caffeine isn't your thing, like me, I'm so glad that the same can be said about their hot chocolate, less the crazy sugar rush that usually accompanies one.
Gotta love the passion and skill that goes into every cup brewed, right from the sourcing of the beans to ensuring that the right water is used.

A perfect cuppa' specialty coffee served in a cosy space tucked away in Remuera, possibly the best I've had in Auckland! The baristas were super dedicated and passionate about their craft, taking the time to explain the process and tasting notes in the coffee. Found out during my visit that the owners of the cafe are a pair of World Barista Champions from Singapore and New Zealand - and I was served by Xin from Singapore :)
Really good hot chocolate made with bitter dark cocoa. This coffee shop is quite unique - they give you an information card with facts about the coffee/drink you are drinking. This is quite a small shop but it has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely not your typical coffee shop in New Zealand, but I highly recommend going here at least once. Be prepared to pay slightly more than normal though!

Lovely place to have top notch coffee. Very different from your typical cafe and not that much more to pay for a very high quality cup of single origin coffee. Auckland’s coffee scene is certainly becoming more sophisticated!
Cute little coffee shop hidden away in Remuera. Minimal decor and friendly staff. Coffee tastes great, one of the better coffees I’ve had in Auckland. Not really your daily coffee stop but a great place for a treat.
When I heard that a World Barista Champion from both Singapore and New Zealand opened a cafe in Auckland, we knew we had to include Catalyst coffee when planning our itinerary for a family trip there. No regrets! The pair is such dedicated barista and is meticulous in each and every cup of coffee they serve. They do serve single origin chocolate, tea and fluffy which my Daughter enjoys!
The Coffee here is among the best cafes in Auckland. I regularly visit many top coffee destinations (in my oppinion) in the CBD cafes such as eight thirty, Shelf on high street (Coffee labs), Oaken, Armano, Atomic Shortland St. The coffee at Catalyst will appeal if you appreciate a rich, flavourful, bold coffee flavour. Best Coffee in Remuera, and possibly east auckland.
For me the Coffee comes first, but the pleasant friendly staff certainly helps. I recommend popping by.
