We love this place! Just had a $10 evening meal and it was superb. I recommend this place if you're looking for fresh, tasty food as an alternative to a traditional takeaway. Been there during the day and they happily rush out with a water bowl for the dog too. Gf and vege friendly. What more could you want �
We went there for lunch and had their lunch special (Moroccan Quesadilla and Bacon & Chicken strudel with side salads), and they were delicious, reasonable portion and affordable at $10! Agreed with previous review that I wishes we never went because now I want to go back and try everything on their menu including their $10 dinner specials. The cabinet food looks amazing and they have a really good range of salads.
Enjoyed the pumpkin feta frittata with crunchy quinoa salad which I had for dinner tonight. Haven't eaten from this place in a while. Good too see this place is still around. Will come back for sure. Good people & good service. 😋.
Awesome selection of healthy salads plus they now have $10 evening meals. The Nepalese dumplings were delicious and came with roast potatoes and a side salad. Great value and such a huge portion it was perfect for lunch the next day. Friendly staff too.
Great place for a fresh salad, very nice smoked fish pie and next on the menu will be the lasagne! Would buy more salads if there were easy meat additions (chicken/beef etc)
First time trying Gustoso today on my boyfriends recommendation. Huge range of gluten free options and very tasty good. I had the gf chicken cake which was egg based and packed with chicken and roast veges, followed by the cream cheese brownie which was amazing! Only thing that let it down was average coffee, but Birkenhead has set my coffee standards pretty high so all in all a great place to go!
Such hard working friendly staff with ennnnnddddless selection of to-die-for salads. Honest, healthy, amazingly scrumptious food with more than generous portions. Couldn’t recommend more.
Nicely tucked away on the corner, great fresh salads, not like any other place in Birkenhead. Will go again. Had the kumara corn cajun salad and bacon n egg slice which were both delicious
Tried this place the other day from a friends recommendation and I have to say I was not disappointed - lovely little spot with delicious, healthy food, great service and all at a reasonable price.
I used to visit this place very rarely, due to my cravings for junk food. However, the more i visited, the more I began enjoying the delicious taste of the healthy food that is served here for an affordable price (large salad with 3 choices for $10.50 is a must). I now get my lunch from here everyday, Monday to Friday. 1 Large salad and 1 Jumbo Salad. (Forgive my excessive healthy eating) Great value for money, and an assortment of salads to choose from which vary with ingredients from walnuts, chia seeds and kale to brown rice, quinoa and chicken. If I'm craving something a little less healthy, ordering one of the sandwiches or wraps and toasting them seems to suppress my gluttony. The desserts are also good tasting, homemade, and different. Recommended for anyone looking to eat something healthy, at the most ideally affordable price.
A delicious lunch. So fresh and tasty. I had the special of the day which was a quesadilla with a side salad. The friendly staff even made the side salad just for me as the option I wanted had run out. Only down side is minimal space (which makes it tricky when you have a pram) but if you visit off peak times you'll be fine.
Just went there for a takeaway lunch before the gym. Lovely little place and great customer service. Eating this right now and it's fantastic! Will be going back very soon.
Gustoso Kitchen prepares some of the best take away meals in Auckland. Their salads are fresh, delicious and inventive. This is a remarkable business serving the entire North Shore and beyond. Highly recommended.

lots of gluten free options, and the use of free range meats in the food is fantastic.
got a sweet tooth check out some of the yummy treats as well ( cream cheese chocolate brownie to die for )
We also got a take out massive salad for a home party and they are really great value.

We had French toast for breakfast. It was really well presented with thick toast slices and cream and fruits. Amazing!
