Obsessed with this place. Everytime I'm shocked that the food I'm eating is vegan, the service is wonderful (the girl working as I write this with the headband is so friendly!, and the hot drinks are great too.

Wasn't sure what to expect from a vegan bakery but came by to get some sweets to try. I grabbed a few doughnuts as well as a few of the different pastries they had including a croissant. The food was actually quite nice. The doughnut was pretty much normal. The pastry was a bit dense but it did flake quite well. It didn't have the same flavour (which wasn't surprising) but was really close. I did find that their chocolate was a bit too dark for my liking. They also had pies in store which would be interesting to try.

Service was really nice and the prices were really good, cheaper than some bakeries.

Great variety, all three pies (creamy mushroom, tofu curry and mushroom and “steak”) were all tasty and flaky. The Sausage roll was really disappointing it was lacking flavour and was tasteless. It was also off putting to see the cooks at the back making items without gloves or hairnets I saw one lady scratch her head, pop something in her mouth and then continue to prepare making the food. The girl at the front counter was pretty unfriendly and seemed confused. The chocolate croissant and doughnut were also great.

So excited to go back to Tart Bakery in their new store. Grabbed a long awaited lunch, was delicious! Spinach and cheese pies were everyones choice but the new flavours looked so good too..will try next visit! The cheese was so creamy, has really improved since I last had one.. even though it was still great before. They were so good we finished them all too quickly! Had a sausage roll which was so tasty and savoury and the others all enjoyed their doughnuts, cronuts and choc iced donuts. Thanks!

Eating My Way Around

I'm so happy I found this place! Being back in NZ it's nice not to miss out on kiwi faves of pies, sausage rolls and cream donuts. Everything was tasty and I can't wait to try the rest!

Been here a few times now and I love it!! Service is always super friendly and the donuts are amazing. I would especially recommend the cronuts - the texture of the pastry combined with a fresh burst of fruit was very well balanced. I’m definately going to come back and try their vegan pies - highly recommend coming here!

Vegan bakeries don't get much better than this. Their pies are bomb, sweets are BOMB and all for a not-too-bad price- I always go just before they close and get an extra item for free! Love it!

The best vegan bakery around. There is a huge selection of pastries- savoury and sweet. Lots of choices for pies and donuts and slices. The pies are flaky on the outside and creamy and soft in the inside. The falafel sandwich was huge and not dry. The vegan sausage roll was flaky and delicious. Great location and great food.

Omg. This fruit danish is absolutely incredible. The pastry is light and flakey, you would never guess it’s vegan. Such a delicious and beautiful treat! Definitely going back to try all their other goodies.

Amazing vegan bakery with so many delicious sweet and savoury baked goods! They do the best donuts ever, the texture of the dough is spot on (both bouncy and soft). My personal favourite is the coconut cream donut. The staff in here are always lovely. Based in St Kevin's Arcade, it's a really nice place to sit and eat.

All the usual bakery bits but vegan! Would highly recommend the pies, sausage rolls, croissants, and cream donuts. Non vegans honestly can't tell the difference! Would recommend to all

Very friendly, great taste (and that coming from an omnivore) lovely Danish with pomegranate arils and free tea! Pizza and filled rolls were really tasty. Outstanding value plus my carbon footprint feels very small in there.

The best vegan donuts I've ever had, I doubt you can tell the difference between them and a non-vegan donut! I've also had a pie, mint slice and pain au chocolat and they were all just as good.

Excellent 100% vegan bakery. Their "Steak n Cheese" pies (mock meat) are the best! Also try their sandwiches.
