My go to sushi place when I visit Whangaparoa. Sushi is fresh and delicious. They also have heaps of options so there's something for everyone. Hot food cabinet is full of yummy things too. Love this place!
Had the Chicken Katsu Don and Chicken Soy Ramen. Both quite good for the price. Very friendly service. They did get the ramen order slightly wrong but they were very apologetic and polite - we were compensated too. Decent Japanese food at this price is rare this far out of the CBD so try it if you haven’t yet. Haven’t tried the sushi. Maybe next time.
Their varity of individual sushi and other dishes, like bento, are incredible. Super friendly as well and very affordable. Great place for a quick meal.
Hands down best sushi restaurant on the coast. Great prices and the staff are always very friendly. Only downsides are that most of the food is gone after 4 o'clock onwards and the miso soup is hit and miss.
I love this sushi place. Staff are always super friendly, the sushi is great quality the Bento never ceases to delight. A great place to pop into for lunch or take some away to sit at the beach.
What you see is what you get. Sushi is very good overall, soup (except Miso) is not perfect. The place has its atmosphere, staff is nice. You have to come early for fresh food, if you come by around 4 pm, it has very limited options and you can feel that those havent made recently, probably was in the cabinet for couple of hours. Apart from that, I like this place. Miso soup is really good!

Have been here a few times for both takeaway and eat in. Came tonight for a quick dinner with my son. It was early and we were the on people in the Resturant.
We had a Katsu chicken and s plate of sushi from the cabinet, plus a small chicken on rice to take away. This came to s total of $22.
The food was good, but had more sauce than I like. (Some other people probably prefer it this way)
The staff were both nice. There was no water available, except the bottles in the fridge, but they were happy to get a cup of water when asked.
After having dinner here the other night my partner and I realised how we should be ordering sushi gallery's chicken Katsu a lot more often because it's delicious! We both got the chicken Katsu bento box, and both really enjoyed our meals! It didn't take too long to come out, the chairs and tables seemed to be clean but were so uncomfortable so I recommend bringing a jacket to sit on 😂 the service from the man who works there is reasonably friendly but the woman never smiles and hardly talks hence my 3.5/5 rating. The food is yum, it's an A rating and really reasonably priced too! I will say that if your a big eater you'll probably still be hungry so either order two meals for yourself or do like we did and get a second dinner 😂
Favourite sushi place ever! I go here at least twice a week, the sushi is always so fresh and if they don't have what you want they will make it for you. Always great service! Recommend this sushi spot to everyone.
Best sushi place on the coast period. Nice selection and great value, staff are friendly and they keep the place very tidy. My only gripe is that they tend to stop making fresh sushi around about 3pm, Fair enough but would be great if I were able to get sushi after that time
I'm from Korea, so I missed food made from rice. I ordered the chicken katsu don. It's the taste I wanted.
I get my sushi from here every week. It is super fresh and absolutely delicious. Best on the coast by far. The staff are lovely and friendly. Try them out - you will be happy you did! 😘
I have never had a bad experience, meal or feeling in this restaurant. My favourite sushi in Auckland hands down.
