Excellent service from friendly staff. Great cafe to take your little one too as they have a lovey toy basket and books. About their food.....delicious pastries, awesome coffee, petits gateaux to die for and melt-in-the-mouth breads. They have yummy meals in their fridge that you can buy to take home too - great if you're having a romantic dinner. You could buy and pretend you're a great cook!
Great coffee, great food, great service, - I never miss a visit when in Auckland. Love this place!
Great place to pass the time away, love the french feel. They do add a surcharge for credit cards. I'm inclined to not support this practice. Bank charges should form part of the companies OPEX
Delicious french food, best pastries in Auckland very similar to pastries I have tasted in France.
Decided to have a quick bite to eat with a friend. This cafe is quite lovely, the staff are friendly (everyone speaks French) and the desserts look amazing. I ordered a pain aux chocolat, it was light and very yummy. Usually cabinet desserts that I’ve tried are dry but this wasn’t the case. My friend ordered a pizza which I tried as well and it was very nice too, enough cheese and the flavouring was lovely. There isn’t much seating options but this isn’t an issue, I liked the big table in the centre rather than small seperate ones. Would definitely come back and try some of their other desserts! Price range is okay, the usual prices for desserts are cafes!
An absolute experience of a visit, they offer a wide selection ranging from meats to sweets to jam. Everything tastes as good as it looks. A very French-like vibe and the staff can speak in French as well!
Brunch today. Takeaway patisseries other days. Ultimate perfection in French cuisine and pastry. (Yes I've lived in France so i know what it is like at home!).
An ex-pats dream, superb coffees in any fashion, a la francaise or 'Western'- galettes, crepes and superb imported cheeses etc. If you pine for the real thing, most [of it] is here.
While they've reduced the 'extras' over the years by dropping the 'homemade' flavoured terrines and other chilled dishes.
However the Palmier, genuine croissants, Madeleines, Tarte au citron etc. are all superb 10/10 plates.
A Ham Cheese and Mushroom galette with a pastry, Mouse Chocolat (hey its my birthday!) and a couple of Espresso and takeaway pastry was a fine brunch with someone special.
Some locals come here every week. For us its a pleasant once every while bonus and treat.
The staff, in a French establishment, are often, well, French, not terribly local except they live here/ pass thru. Been that way the more than 10 years Ive been popping in. A little French pleasantry can go a long way.
Highly highy recommended. 5+

We like everything about this cafe. The food, coffee, staff, ambience. Every bite is so delicious, whether it's savoury or sweet. Highly recommend the Xmas special booking. Highly popular. We love the place the first time we are there, then try to visit once a week.
Great pastry’s and cabinet food. Smaller setting so better to grab something and go. Lovely staff with great motives including using mugs to reduce waste from cups! Local staff who care and focus on pleasing the mt albert community.
Amazing selection of desserts, great ambiance and friendly staff. Tried their Chocolate Mousse, almond tart and Tiramisu and they were all good. Great place for pastries and cakes.
Such a cute place to go for brunch. I would describe it as a deli/cafe with a warm homely feel. The service was exceptionally friendly and it was very busy which is always a good sign. I had a citron tart which had great pastry and a zingy lemon filling....just how it should be. The other cabinet cakes looked just as good. Partner had the baked eggs with salmon which again was really tasty. A great find and will definitely be back to try the other desserts.
Consistently pleased here. Always very pleasant and quick service, great coffee and great variety of authentic French goods on display in the cabinets.
Great cafe fantastic service and amazing food. I have been here a few times but first time since the floods. Love this place.
Great food , love the pastries, love the croissants and the baguettes.
But my favourite is the pastry. Is French as it can get in Mt Albert
Excellent as usual! Love the new layout. The Croque Madame a must try!! 🤩😍
Heavenly, absolutely divine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Friendly staff
Located across the road from the Mt Albert Rocket play ground, plenty of street parking
Had a custard fruit pastry, an almond croissant and some other savoury pastry with feta on top. Really enjoyed the pastry, and I like that the sweet items weren't excessively sweet. It was a much needed treat on a rainy work day.
Thanks so much for the baguette lunch roll you prepared us (actually at Pt Chev.). I'm not generally one for French bread and thought I'd just buy a filled roll to keep my daughter happy. I was not prepared for the taste explosion that followed. This is no ordinary French cafe. Thank you for the experience. And we love your staff <3
Super friendly staff. Great for a small bite and coffee. If you have a sweet tooth, should try out their small dessert platter along with a drink. The lemon meringue and hazelnut toffee tarts were good.
Tried Le Benedicte and eggs on croissant for brunch. The food is tasty reminding my friends of their recent trip to France. The staff are very friendly. Also tried the vegetable baguette sandwich as takeaway which was delicious and flavourful.
It was unfortunate to see the cafe closed after the flooding, but they've got the pop up store in the back carpark! Looking forward to the cafe opening again so we can sit and enjoy the delicious pastries!
From interior design perspective, use the natural timber making hanging shelves and the bench deco, it creates the naturally comfortable atmosphere.
The Selections of the posters, reflect the culture of this Cafe” little French”.
Nice place for catching up, and taste the French style here.
