Honestly can’t get enough of this place. The food is out of this world! The chef is so awesome and gives great service even though he’s always so busy. I’ve tried the Mac and cheese, pork heuburger, southern fried wings, and their homemade sodas. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
What's better than affordable and quality food? Great service. You can always find good food in any city in the world. But very rarely do you actually come across a team which puts just as much care and effort into their service as their food.
They've got such a diverse menu, you'll definitely find something you'll love.
Also did I mention that everything is super cheap? ($1 Peri Peri Wings :O).
10/10 would recommend. Right by the UoA and AUT. Opens late till 9pm. The perfect student munchie.

A hidden gem nestled below apartments on Symonds St is this precious little Eatery by someone with a big heart.
Dane the head chef gave up his fine-dining culinary experience to venture towards this student-oriented hub. The menu is inspired by a combination of Indian and African cuisines. Amongst this includes Peri Peri Chicken, Hueberger, Mac’n’Cheese; even Ramen and Bibimbap with his own little twist!
Food here is generous, affordable, but most importantly — passion and emotions can be felt in each dish. I’ve tried a small selection of their menu and they hit all the spots. I was fortunate to get a taste of Dane’s fine-dining side during his private event “a taste down Silk Road”. Probably can’t find these on the menu here but they deserve extensive credit!
They are open till late most days of the week unless sold out prior (goes to show they are popular!). The place is decorated by themselves (Dane and Jenny), with their own twist and really making the place their own.

Came here for dinner and ordered a Periperi Chicken Heuburger. The fillings were really nice and delicious but the bun’s outer crust was so hard! It was tough to cut through and I could bite through it but then all the toppings would fall off from the force 😪
Wait time wasn’t bad and the atmosphere is really cosy! Would definitely visit again to try the other things on the menu.
London, Paris, Tokyo, SILK ROAD EATERY. This place is utterly delectable. The house made bread is a total triumph and coupled with mouth-watering BBQ they have a major winner with the Heuburger. The sweet spring rolls are otherworldly, seriously, deep fried cheesecake with a chocolate mousse dipping sauce!? Bring me back down to earth! Don't go past this place, a massive 5 stars from a new massive fan.
We ordered peri peri wings, a side of Mac and cheese, a lamb burger and a peri peri chicken burger that came with fries and homemade sodas. Everything down to the soda was delicious! The wings were cooked to perfection. The texture and juicey-ness of the burger was amazing. Would definitely come back!
A place I frequent a lot. One of the best burgers in town, fresh all homemade even the buns! Atmosphere is a 5/10 just cause it's next to a study/printing place so obviously nothing much can be done. The chef truly knows quality and has great knowledge in the craft of taste. Would recommend anyone!

Huge amount of delicious food, but so cheap!
Had a buger, side of fried eggplant & cauliflower and chunky fries for $8. Very filling and tasty.
Really interesting mix of southern cooking with eastern spices.
