We flew to Aukland for a night from Australia to have a birthday dinner and decided to dine at Mr Morris on recommendation from Trip Advisor forums. The experience was faultless. Sitting at the chefs table watching the food artistry in motion then indulging in the delightful flavours, we would highly recommend Mr Morris for dining pleasures.
Absolutely brilliant dining experience. The 4 course selection was a journey through some classics reimagined brilliant new ways. For example, the pork belly with chicken skin topped kumara on the side. The service was polite and courteous.

I had an amazing dinner at Mr. Morris with my bestie to celebrate my birthday last night. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We ordered kitchen experience tasting menu. From the snacks to the dessert, every dish was tasty and well presented. Can’t recommend it enough!
Amazing food and service. You have to try the beef tongue. Melts in the mouth. The combination with the korean rice cake and the sourness of the sauce is perfect. 10/10.
This is such a truly fabulous restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious.We enjoyed the cheddar puff and chicken skins for starters followed by the Duck as a main. Beautifully cooked and presented.
We each had a sweet salted caramel macarons...to finish. I also wish comment about the impeccable service. The staff treated us with such a high standard of service which is rarely seen these days - truly special. Also the little touches that made my sister's birthday memorable. Thank you. A remarkable meal and would highly recommend Mr Morris.

Fantastic! We had the tasting menu and it was outstanding. The pork collar was exceptional. Also the service was great, very attentive and friendly.
It is definitely a special occasion place price wise but the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.
Food Sensation. Every morsel of food made my mouth explode. It’s worth the money. Simple yet elegant decor. Team are friendly and waiters are attentive. Only thing I could slightly fault was the wait time for a drink, they only had one person doing bar.
Overall experience was a delight.
This pace was crazy good, we had the blood pudding croissant, and chicken skin for the entree, both really tasty and interesting flavours in a good way. The snapper and lamb for main with a potato gratin. All the food was amazing. The service was great, our baby got upset half way through and one of the waiters cakes and asked if we wanted him to look after her while we finished our meal.
100% would recommend.
What a place. What a charm, what an experience.
Service was outstanding. The food was delicious. You can tell that everyone is very passionate about what they are serving here. From the water topping to checking on how we were doing all night long without feeling too much pressure from the wait staff. They put us in a little cosy place around the corner of the venue. They even left a card with some birthday wishes from the team. The price you will pay is fair. And the wine list is banging.

We planned to come here almost a year ago when they were voted Viva's top restaurant for 2022 but then lockdown happened and we only now just made it in. Boy are we glad we did. Service was second to none, music was on point and the food was divine. Special shout out to the chicken skin with parfait which my husband and I haven't been able to stop thinking about since we left, wishing we'd ordered more! Highly recommend Mr Morris for your next fine dining experience 🔥
