It was our first time in Christchurch and we were searching for good Thai restaurants. We were so happy we found this place. Everything we ordered was so good! We had salt and pepper squid for entree, beef cheeks and pad thai for mains, and the coconut ice cream and caramel cheesecake with dark chocolate ganache for dessert. The food was amazing! And the service was fast as well. Highly recommended �

I recently dined at Spice Paragon, and I must say the food was absolutely fantastic. The flavors and quality of the dishes were outstanding. If you're a fan of delicious, well-prepared cuisine, Spice Paragon is a must-visit. I can't wait to go back for more!
I came with a large group of 30 which the restaurant found difficult to manage in terms of drinks orders and ordering our mains. The servers split the table in half & for some reason 3 of us were the last to be served long after the first 2 groups had received & eaten their mains! You do need to purchase rice in addition to your meal so make sure you take that into account. Lovely flavours but beware of spice levels if you aren’t able to cope with heat.
What a find! We had a beautiful dinner, I had the fresh tuna salad, and fresh it was, bristling with great Thai flavours. My companion had the prawn pad Thai and pronounced it ‘the best’. Service was excellent as were wines and non alcoholic options on offer. Lovely ambience.
The food and service was absolutely excellent! I highly recommend the beef cheek which I believe is a specialty.
I found the place quite loud though so not what I'd choose for a quiet romantic dinner but anything else and this is will quickly become a favourite.
Second time here in two weeks! If your a meat lover plenty to love about this food. Flavours are amazing. Must trys are the Spinach leaf...sticky pork hock and twice cooked deconstructed beef. Amazing! Will be back to try the other dishes.

Went to this lovely place again... for our daughters birthday treat, the food came out in good time and everyone enjoyed their chosen meals,
this has been my fifth visit over the years,
my recommendation is go early to enjoy quick service, later if you aren't in a hurry.

Amazing dinner we had with hubby!!! We came to CHC for an overnight trip, reserved a table for two a day before our flight through online, received a VM 2hrs before our schedule as reminder, came in an hour early and accommodated to our table. Had seafood specials, a bite crispy squid, apple cider and the well presented dessert. They also have signage for guidance visible all over the place. Highly recommended 👍

Hands down the best food I have had in all of New Zealand. I went to Spice Paragon with zero expectations as most Thai food in Christchurch is quite average. The prices were a bit much for me at first glance, as I often run on tight budget. Most of the time I will argue that expensive food is not worth it past a certain price point, but that argument failed here. The food arrived within 10 min of ordering and was absolutely stunning visually. We ordered the Pad Thai and a beef dish with a red curry sauce (I can't remember the name) that the waitress recommended. The Pad Thai was delicious, but the beef dish stole the show. The meat was tender, full of flavor, and the sauce it was bathed in was delectable. Portion sizes were large. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and attentive for New Zealand standards. The evening atmosphere would make this restaurant a great spot for a date, or a nice dinner with friends and family. If you are looking for a nice dinner spot with bold flavors in Christchurch, this is the place!
I'd never been to spice paragon before but heard good things! It took a few moments for someone to notice us at reception however as soon as we were seated we were well looked after.
My partner and I shared the squid, pad Thai, and the cheesecake for desert and loved all three courses.
Will definitely be back, with friends!
