We have been to Mugen Wigram and Moorhouse location. I can definitely say Mugen Moorhouse is better in terms of customer service, friendly staff, and food taste. Also, there’s no limitation in getting wasabi and pickled ginger. The staff always say thank you and accommodating to customers. I would prefer going to Mugen Moorhouse as an avid customer.
The sushi rice was perfectly prepared, and the tonkatsu sushi was surprisingly delicious and remained delightfully crunchy despite being on display in the afternoon. Additionally, the discount offered after 3pm is a great deal. If only the wasabi and ginger could be freshly made from scratch, it would elevate the overall dining experience.
Just a whole heap of treats and delights for the tastebuds. 🤩 It felt clean and fresh with helpful friendly staff and we will definitely be back….already planning next visit. 😋 The only suggestion would be more cold drink options.

Good food here, the atmosphere is chill and you can have a conversation with your meal without interruption. Nothing much to comment on. You go for the pretty good sushi.

I can tell why they're rated the #1 Pyo restaurant in all of CHCH, it was brilliant! Had the salmon sashimi and the chicken udon, was one of the best I ever ever had. Didn't snap photos of that, but did have their signature matcha ice blendeds. Very delicious!
Will come again to visit for sure! Employees were very welcoming and friendly. Nice layout of the shop, very inviting for dining in for abit. Top spot.
I'd give 10 stars if I could! Fantastic service, seriously delicious sushi, exceptionally clean, lots of seating and parking and best of all ... plastic free take-away containers, and they were happy to let me fill my jar so that my snack could be entirely waste free!! Awesome work team! You've got a new fan/customer for life!
The sushi here are very nice. You pick your own from a good selection. The only minor imperfection on my visit was that some of the rice was slightly harder than ideal.
