Tried the $40 for 2 steak, it was pretty good. The service is great. The atmosphere is unique, it feels very 90s. The place is not that big, a bit squeezy. There is a nice fireplace inside. I like how they give tomato sauce by default without being asked.
Fast friendly service from the crew today with complimentary chip baskets for the Western women’s football teams! Was also treated to an ‘on the house’ slushie for being player of the day - fairly sugary & unsure what the alcohol content was, but a welcome gift all the same! Good local pub meals, drinks & prices. If you are looking for a family friendly venue without all the trappings then this could be it!
Good food at a good price. I ordered bangers and mash and would 100% recommend. It was huge. I felt very young at this pub though and I'm mid 30's on my way to 40 if you know what I'm saying lmao. Will be back. Thank you
Wow! What a great pub to dine in. Staff are just so easy going and friendly and food was soo good. A big thumbs up from me
Limited drink and food selection however they have the basics needed for a local pub. Often filled with locals it can be overwhelming for new people coming however the friendly staff and homely atmosphere quickly reduce any worries about stepping into unknown territory. I signed up for the loyalty program however not sure if it’s worth it as you don’t save much and can’t redeem ‘points’ on drinks- only food. Overall 4/5 stars as it provides everything a local pub should with a bit more, however losing a star for the lack of variety in food and drinks, as well as the average pricing.
AWESUM MEDIUM RARE STEAK AND BEER BATTERED SNAPPER COOKED TO PERFECTION. COOKED LIKE IT WAS FROM A HIGH CLASS 10 STAR RESTUARANT. Jolly cold with no heating.
Great prices with good size meals.
An Irish bar. A great location with a lively atmosphere, such as to be found in Irish bars around the world. Honestly one of the best pints of Guiness I've had since moving to NZ three and a half years ago; many places visited and pints downed in the meantime! The set up (with booths and raised tables) felt good and it was a great place to meet up with friends
As Guiness was the only nod (beer wise) to the Emerald Isle, they would maybe improve the selection (Murphys, Kilkenny etc.) To make this the perfect Irish bar, Sláinte!
We had a late unbooked table of 10. They were very courteous and managed to serve us with a friendly and quick service.
Good basic neighborhood pub. Frequented by a lot of trades. Good raffles on Friday evenings.
